You kindly tell us that S2 tyres give the most realistic experience, and then only provide events where you have to run Rs to be remotely competitive. Please give us a breath of realism again in the next update.

I think when we have realism in mind and how GT5P is probably the closest thing to it, we want something we can somewhat come close to relating to...hence low PP cars and sports tires. Just like racing your own auto!

We don't hate on speed, but we've had nothing but speed recently and I for one would like a breath of fresh. We haven't been able to drive hatch backs in months now. I'd like to use the Mustang too.

Dear god, nooo! If I get stuck with nothing but low pp events it damn well better be on n1's. At least give me something to occupy my mind whilst I'm waiting for the race to finish.

Well they have to give us more than one event. I just hope it isn't 750 PP Suzuka, it should be 800 PP Suzuka. 750 you have to use a Tuned car to be fast, and then you have to detune it like mad.

Where's the cut-off for high/low PP?

Yeah my mistake, I only thought of that afterwards. I would think that when you start getting above 600 PP you're starting to get high.

650 PP with sports tyres would still be 500hp monsters.

I think that if the Clio Tuned was un altered it would still fit VIPERGTSR01's description of stock but I could be wrong.

Yeah, an 800 PP event as a support act, with the prime concern being a low PP sports tyred event being included.

You are quite right the 600PP S2 tyres event when it was available was owned by GTPlanet members.

Heh, IIRC, 600PP S2 event was generally '0wn3d' by the NSX crew (Timo, Zabeu, Truth_123, Honeycar etc).

For me, 600PP isn't slow racing as long as the tyres aren't too grippy - the more grip a car has the slower it feels. For example, the California on R1's at 650PP feel plenty quick and is nice and challenging to drive as there isn't endless grip, yet the Evora on R3's presents no real challenge to drive as it has too much grip relative to it's power.

I just checked the gran-turismo.com news page, and the online events will be updated next week, october 30.

There is also a news post about the "Logitech Super Lap 2008" seems like some kind of online tournament where you will be able to win a logitech driving force GT. Don't know if it will be available for players outside of Japan.

Its not that i like the Citroen GT all that much, it just seems like its not being utilized, sure its in the game but its only usefull in arcade mode.

A high to mid range PP event at the daytona speedway would also be fun

I voted for always having suzuka and fuji at 800pp with no limit on tire selection. Then add what ever other online events that are listed here. This will keep everybody happy. As there is no reason to get rid of something good.

thats very true, i guess what I was getting at is the fact that the Citroen GT wont even fit into a low PP or high PP races, which is why it requires a single make race.
at least other cars can compete on a fairly level playing field.

I think low pp events should be in beginner and intermediate not expert. Or to solve all of it why not have MORE events as in low pp in every class and high pp in every class. Wouldnt that solve alot of things? Whats up with them giving us tracks then just to rip them away and give us different ones? Are there servers so slow that it can not handle more tracks or... Since this is a prologue we should have the options to race what ever of the limited tracks we have online and not have SETTLE for what is the pick of the month. This will also allow the developers to fix the bugs if any with there servers to see if they can handle the flow. It has to be tested sometime and why not do it now in a prologue so they can fix it now and not have to worry about it later

Anyone else agree?, or am i just off my rocker. Let us have the choice of the tracks WE want to race with the pp limit WE want to compete in. The constant shifting of tracks is a WASTE of time for everyone not just the racers but for the developers. Open up all the tracks and set a low limit pp and a high limit pp for those tracks and get back to work on something more important thatn switching online events. IDK maybe like damage or cars or physic updates.

I voted low PP with race tyres, I was thinking of an only FF car race with a simple PP limit (so you can have whatever tyres, whatever weight etc). I'd really like to see the slightly slower cars more in the Expert event.
