I think this will be very useful for those who are trying to be the "Street King" in NFS ProStreet. So here it is....

From right to left in the crown:

Nate Denver: Speed King:

Car: Pontiac GTO '65

In my opinion, this is the weakest king. His muscle car is powerful, but is not that fast.

TIPS: A car with at least 650 bhp and a top speed of 200+ mph should be able to defeat him easily. Just go as fast as possible.

Karol Monroe.
Drag Queen.
Car: Ford Mustang GT '06

She is a weak king (aka queen). But not as bad as the previous king. You should have trouble with her at the 1/2 mile and that wheelie competition.

Tips: You will need to bring two drag cars: one for the wheelie comp and the second for the other two races. Bring your best for each one. Her car could be a muscle, but she's pretty good in the wheelie.

Ryo Watanabe
Showdown King
Car: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X

Now that's tough, very very tough. He wants to take you out, and will not think twice to do it, so bring your best shot.

Tips: You'll need a speed and a drag car to challenge him. So bring your best in each. Try to let him go ahead you in the speed challenge, and then use nitrous to ram his back, and this will make his car totaled every so often. In the drag a very fast car is required. Ryo is not good in wheelies, so don't worry. If you follow this and total his car in the speed challenges (and the top speed run), you'll be the showdown king in no time.

Ray Krieger
Grip King
Car: BMW M3 E92

This is not the strongest king, but not the weakest (so be careful). Do not bring Zondas, because they are crappy at handling. If you can bring a nissan GT-R Prototype, it will be easy.

Tips: Bring a 700+ bhp car. BTW his car has great handling, and this can mean trouble at the Sector Shootout.Beating him at the grip race also is not that easy, be careful. The grip race circuit is slow, so a good handling car is needed.

Aki Kimura
Drift King
Car: Mazda RX-7

Strongest king (after Ryo of course) in the crown. You will need a lot of oversteer to stand a chance against him. Use the handbrake (O) for major drift angles.

Tips: Bring your best drift car. Tight corners will require the use of the handbrake (O). Use reverse handling to control your angle and hold longer drifts. Keep doing this and you will defeat him and be the drift king.

PM me if you need help.

I'm playing through the game for a second time right now, and I'd say that my favourtie car is the Ford Escort Cosworth RS for grip races. It very easily slaughtered Ray Kreiger. And since it's so very light and can still have 600hp, it is probably good at dragging as well. Though, suspension tuning for rearwards weight transfer under acceleration is necesary to make it handle like it should. It's too tailhappy in stock form.

Also, why didn't you say anything about the grip and drift challenges of Ryo Watanabe? The speed and drag races are just the first, much easier half of his challenges. Also, I think you should make a comment on the cars you win from the people.

I love the grip king's car: It has lowish power (473 hp), but stage 4 everything else and long wheelbase means it is nearly perfect in cornering, and a lovely example of the best ingredients mixing with precision preparation to make a harmonious product. However, it's large size means it is a bit clumsy in dogfights, and, if you want legendary laptimes with it, you must make a setup B, equip all level 4 parts, and buy the remaining level 3 turbo. But then, what is it but just another (though admittedly unsurpassably rapid) M3? Its relative lack of power makes it wonderful to drive, and more than likely more speed than you'll ever need in any grip race, but it's not as fast as it can be.

EDIT: Also, did you close the poll so early because you wanted the Zonda to win?

Ford GT works best for me in grip, just never stops gripping lol, or a 911T.

911T for speed gets the job done as it handles beautifully.

Supra for drag (mine runs just under 6seconds on the 1/4 use lvl 2 suspension)

Drift cars arent important for career, its more driver orientated, but i find the Camaro SS works well for most, Ebisu the RX7 though. My best in drift is just over 16,000.

No real techniques needed to beat the kings, if you managed to get to them, you should beat them. Most struggle on the Tokyo Docks VS Ryo on drift. But i managed that first time, drift is my personal favourite event even if it is ridiculously easy.

I just found out that Mazdaspeed 3 is amazingly good in Speed Challenge. You actually need to shorten the transmission so you don't pass 254 mph (the point where steering becomes useless). There is very little drag to it's rounded, station wagon shape, but there's no downforce either, which means it occasionally flies for extraordinary distances. You'd be suprised how cool it is to land on an opponent at 220 mph. :D I have mine painted in red, with all the different body parts just slightly different shades and finishes of red. The effect is that you look at it and see red, but something... isn't... right. Truth in advertisement

Actually, hold on a sec. It's got around 600hp, is very fast, small, lightweight, and very difficult to use. Has anyone here heard of Wangan Midnight?

Also, for drift mode: I just found out that tire smoke is a huge part of your score, so low-powered cars are a no-no.

Dude, this game is sooooooooooo old! I had finished this game like in 2-3 weeks! Of course, nothing comes easy. Your guide seems to be too simple and short, you don't even point out what stats they have for each race/event! But most of all, did you even made it into the drift event with Watanabe at Tokyo Dock? I tell you, that is one of the hardest part of the game (its like 🤬) So any clue what car to use for that one or what line to take?

Simply, I'm just gonna point out what car (I think) to use for each event....

Drag:
Subaru Impreza (best bang for the bucks)
Pagani Zonda (kills other competitors in an instance)

Wheelie Competition:
65' Pontiac GTO (manage to do 410m wheelie )
Ford Mustang (not as good, but can wheelie 300+ ish with a proper setup)
or Any Muscle car for that matter

Drift:
BMW M3 E46 (totally dominate the whole event with this b' tard)
Toyota Corolla GTS AE86 (good car to use for beginners and quite a car if tuned properly)
Nissan S13 240SX

Grip:
Porsche 911 Turbo
Ford Escort
Nissan GT-R
(Note: all the cars doesn't have to be so powerful. Your not gonna use those 800+hp on the circuit. Just keep the car 600+ish HP and tune the suspension a bit and it handle nicely 👍)

Speed Run/Checkpoint:
Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 (simply stunning)
Ford GT (fast, but very unstable)
Ford Mustang (I you really want to....)
(Note: its important to have a 4wd for this event. Your car will accelerate faster and have more grip on the road. Keep that in mind....)

I think a ford gt with 848 bhp and stage 1 nos is a good car for wheelies performing wheelies is hard but when the front end of your car is falling use nos and it comes back up

AND NEVER WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A PANGANI TO MUCH SPEED AND ACCELERATION FOR ITS OWN GOOD I TOTAL EVERY RACE AND IT FLIPS REALLY EASILY IT HITS THE SMALLEST BUMP IN THE ROAD LITERALLY

IMO The GT-R is a solid car for Grip and Speed, the Supra is great for drift and the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is good for drag along with the Viper.

The Speed King is the easiest king to beat plus he's prone to getting flipped. Just bring a slightly modded Viper then you're fine.

Karol Monroe(Drag King) is not that hard but not as easy as Nate Denver. Bring two cars for this event. For wheelie, an old Charger or a modern GTO would be enough while the drag races just bring a car that has a good launch plus acceleration.

Ray Krieger was not that hard too. I used a moderately tuned M3 E46 against him plus during the Willow Springs track, he sometimes gets flipped by the hilly parts.

Aki Kimura is probably the hardest king before Ryo. He scores high in any drift event. But since Autopolis has wide corners, I probably recommend a 350Z or a RX8.

Lastly, Ryo Watanabe. He's easy for the speed and drag races but look out for him in speed races. I would recommend the Nissan GTR Proto. The car is surprising great in speed events plus capable of hitting 280 mph. For drag races, GTO for wheelie and either Karol's Mustang or Supra.

Now for the grip and drift events, I am surprised that his Evo can be used for drifting since its in 4WD format. But still he scores high just like Aki Kimura. For drift events, use Aki's RX7 while grip events, a maxed out Evo X would finish the show.

No one said a word about Supras in Drag Mode  at 658HP it can clock the 1/4 in 8.11s at 292km/h in 6th gear.

I need a second grip car because I can get the job done at almost all events with my 350HP 240SX, problem is at Texas World where a higher HP car is needed (en route to defeat Ray Krieger).

Drift I'm for now using the 350Z you can win at one of the Battle Machines events at Texas World.

And Speed I didn't even get to that.

I love using the Supra as a drag car. Easy and somewhat cheap way to beat the drag king.

Yes it is hahaha I'm now with 1047HP, making the 1/4 in 7.21s and the 1/2 in 11.14s! Talk about cheap and fast.

And I just got a great Grip car.. the Elise! 410hp, under 900kg. I'm running on Group B in Grip Class events, so that's something.

Got a Chevelle SS for wheelie events, just gotta build it.

911 GT2 for Speed events is just a killer, it's easy to maintain control at 345km/h. And it's not even tuned!

And still gotta build my 350Z for drift.

My main cars in ProStreet are as follows:

GRIP: the Pagani Zonda F. It has a pretty good balance of top speed, acceleration and grip. It is absolutely monstrous if tuned properly. Ryo's Lancer Evo X is usually my backup car for this event type.

SPEED: the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640. AWD. Very high top speed. Quick acceleration. Nuff said. I also have a Porsche 911 GT2 for this event type, but I don't use it nearly as often as the Lambo.

DRIFT: the Mazda RX-7. Well, everybody knows this is the best drift car in the game.

DRAG: the Toyota Supra. Mine doesn't even reach the 1000 bhp mark and it does the quarter mile in 7 seconds.

My main cars went like this:

Grip: Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R
Drag: Shelby Mustang GT500
Speed Challenge: Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R
Drift: Mazda RX-7

Grip: Impreza WRX STI
Drag: Dodge Charger R/T
Drift:Nissan 240SX (S13)
Speed: Shelby GT500

Also Ryo does drift as well.
