now i know this is stupid to say...........but love the racing and draging in Underground it just keeps me coming back for more.

the drifting is just boring and ****.......and way too easy...

but i love the speed of the game and the fact that half the time you cant see where you are going.

whats your throughts on underground.

GT3 just does not have the same effect on me...........i love the drifting but the racing action is not as fun.

They forgot the thing called physic in NFS-U. Was lloking forward to the drift mode and the styling but i got pretty dissapointed in them both. Could have been made good but i dont really like The Fast & Furious and that game feels like... The Fast & Furious.. :S

This Thread needs to be closed just for the sheer stupidity of posting it.

GT3 is a simpulator, showing real driving styles and more realistic cars and how they handle.

Whereas the NfS:U is fanciful cars on the most, and is an arcade game.

Minihux, You need shot. :p

Nick...:trouble:

NFS:U is so easy to own the heck out of if you play GT3. I did a poll recently, and all my friends that play GT3 beat it in like a couple of days, and those that dont still havnt beat it, lol.

I lke NFS:U for the sheer laughability of the game. The entire car texture is what, a couple of little black lines on a 256x256 map, and then you get TGA overlays for the "vinyl", but whoops, the mapping gets all screwed up cuz EA did a half ass job and made them 512x512 and tried to overlay them onto a 256x256 map or somtn screwy. And then what, you painted over your vinyl? Oh no, thats just ea forgetting to set the tga overlays to a layer above the DX9 shaders for the car paint *oopsy*. Add some rediculously low poly cars with normals about as good as my great great grandmother's sex drive whilst 6 feet under, and you've got a game that anyone that knows anything about games would laugh their asses off at. I could have done a better job on those cars in my sleep.

I hope some1 cracks the cars in that game, I'd love to go back behind EA and clean up all their mess and send it back to them with a hardy laugh attached. Maybe I'd get a job there (which would of course correspond to a significant rise in EA's stocks, lol). But meh, I wouldnt work for ea and their half ass games, unless they were gonna pay me some rediculous amount of money. Oh, and in case anyone just thinks I am blowing steam, here's a picture of a game model I made in about 3 hours, with only default lighting, so nothing to hide imperfections.

That's good, real good. It just goes to show that EA is worrying more about other sports such as their Football and Basketball titles. (Which is selling the most) I guess it just makes sense to put more into games you know will succeed. (Again, their sports title games) Meh, that's what I think anyway.

I don't speak nerd but that sounds right to me....

lol, j/k :D

Very stupid question, no offence.

Gran Turismo 3, will always be known as one of the best if not the best racing games after the next installment of the series ever!

No doubt, NFS:U is fun for the first 2-4 days, I'm almost done and I only played 2 days trying.

GT3 Hands down.

I got NFS:U for x-mas and took it back after 3 days. It's worthless. Terrible menus, even worse than GT3, horrible controls (you drift by straightening the wheel after entering a corner, and if you actually transfer weight you end up spinning out, the game encourages poor driving habits), and the cars stats appear to have been pulled out of a monkey's arse. The tendency for the car to fishtail is way exaggerated (you literally have to let off the gas completely or the car will do some pretty unbelievable stuff). Also, has anyone tried it with a steering wheel? It's rediculously hard! I found it 10x easier using the dual shock. Oh yeah, and on top of that, the other cars in the game are WAY too good at recovering from crashes. You don't fly off a jump at 130mph, get rammed, land perpendicular to the road in traffic, do a 360, and come out of it going 100mph. This game is just another Midnight Club II, EA trying to exploit the popularity of imports. It has nothing to do with actually driving, it's more of a gamble really (gambling that there won't be a car in front of you when you go around the last corner of the 6th lap). I got bored after the third try at a 6-lap race where I didn't screw up once but got screwed at the end each time. Returned the game, never going to buy another EA product in my life. They're on the same list as AOL and Hewlett Packard now.

That's the truth, I noticed that aswell. But the DS2, changed the overrall game for me. I like the game, but it's totally a different type then Gran Turismo 3. Therefore no comparison, it's probably the best tuner game, at the moment.

Haha, the picture doesn't even have door handles on the IS300/Altezza! How can it be a good game?!

There's no way to compare GT3 to that ;)

3 reasons I love NFSU:

1) Drag
2) Custom cars, then print screen it for blueprint of the real thing (in case it happens)
3) Song lyrics are absolutely fantastic. ("sucked in!!!")

3 reasons I hate NFSU:
1) Traffic
2) Traffic
3) Traffic

:p I think the person who posted it actually made that in a 3D Rendering program, then said that's better than what NFS:U has.

Probably ... If so, my bad :indiff:

I made it in 3D Studio Max. I never got around to finishing the textures, so no, it doesnt have door handles, or keyholes, etc. It also doesnt have windshield wipers... I never finished it off completely, but its still way the heck better than the pos's that EA used in their game.

Agreed. Way too easy. I already beat it three times, unlocked everything, and now there's nothing left to keep me entertained. I much prefer sim racers like GT3.;)

The first time any of you guys played N4S:U, didn't the movement of things going past you seem a little choppy. for example. The very first race that you do. Everything just seemed so choppy are wierd. Is it just me or did someone experience the same thing.

It looked like you were going fast. It was blurred. Not choppy. The Shopping carts are choppy when you fly past them.

right now they are selling millions of copies and making **** loads of money. and they dont really care what you think of it cause they have a easy market.

I LOVE GT3 its the BEST DRIFTING game on the market it rules and owns NFS's ass.

BUT NFSU just has a fun arcade feel to it and i like the things you can do to your cars thing that you cant do in GT3 the racing is fun. in GT3 the racing is boring and easy. NFSU is quite easy bit its fun.

but i want me personal Initial D machine. :(

peace minihux

Brian did you start that from a mesh block? I'm still a beginner to the program and its been awhile since ive used it...you've inspired me to install it again. LOLs.
