I didnt mind 08 on the Ps3 and since I already have 2k7 I'll probably be getting NHL08. Too bad I don't have an Xbox so that I can enjoy EA games more.
 
I d/led some video of 2K8 on the 360 which showed superstar move, pro stick, and face off. Even if these features didn't suck the graphics suck. EA absolutely MURDERED 2K on this round. I still hate EA though. :grumpy:
 
I like the NHL 08 Demo and now i can't wait for the full game. When i started to understand the controls (classic with some deeking/shooting with right analog) it was really awesome! I like the shootout thing too :) Stop hating EA and start loving Hockey. Just kidding, hate whoever you want, at least i will enjoy hours and hours of HD Hockey. :)👍

This is what i thought just a few days ago. NHL 08 does not have any season mode except Dynasty. So there are no Season modes for SM Liiga or Elitserien. It has a lot of bugs which freezes the game now and then. This was the worst buy ever for me i think. I will probably sell it and get NHL 2K8 because i am very disappointed. :grumpy:👎
 
Just got it and went straight to practice. As cool as it is that they have a shooting practice I'm really disappointed that they only have target practice where you can't move around. I would've loved to have a free practice area where me or me and a friend could take shots at the goal or do one on one. 👎:grumpy:

edit: Once again... I don't know wtf they were thinking with the music in this game. :odd:

Anyway, Gameplay is pretty great. I'm playing as the Sharts and playing against the AHL shart team. Fun degrading them even more. :lol:

edit: Oh man I turned up aggression and hitting power to max! NOW were talking realism! :lol:

Scratch this... Apparently you can do a sort of free skate and other stuff in practice.
 
they could have made the practice mode in 08 much better, the shooting mode is just standing still aiming for each corner, we should have been able to move around. I cannot stand the music in this game but I am very pleases with the gameplay, the skating physics are some of the best ever.
