Hi,

when I signed in to this forum using "[removed]" it didn't work due to language violation. Could it be changed to "Bounkass" anyway? Since I use it for EVERYTHING. All forums I'm on, I use "[removed]". Even my e-mail is "Bounkass" too. Type in "Bounkass" on Google and everything you see will relate to me. I made up "[removed]" myself, and I would like to continue to use it. :)

There are two ways it can be done:

1) You can purchase Premium and change your name that way.

2) You can have your account banned and you can re-register with a new account (though if you couldn't register the first time with that name, I doubt you will be able to do so now since things haven't changed).

I will have to speak to the other moderators first.

Normally, it's not. But as you said, you couldn't register the first time with your preferred name, so I doubt you'll be able to register a second time with it. Even if you could, I'd have to speak to the other moderators as well and get the all-clear from Jordan, because muti-accounting is banned and we can track IPs. I'd had to ban your current account, have you re-register with a new name and then see you banned again because someone didn't realise you had permission to get a second account when they saw your IP belonged to two accounts. Right now, purchasing Premium status is probably your best bet, though I'd suggest sending a private message to Jordan first.

Is it really so hard to change a name? Oh well...

1) No, it's not so hard. It IS, however, a privelege that is reserved for our subscribing Premium members.

2) If it was a language violation when you orignally tried to use it, why would it NOT be a language violation when you changed it later?

Privelage? Lol...

I hace no idea, but "ass" isn't censored in normal 'Reply to thead' windows so I assumed it wasn't for names either. Plus that the fact "ass" isn't an actual word, it's "arse".

Mary was carried to Bethlehem on an arse. Got it.

Just to clear that up if anyone was confused by Famine.
Ass = A type of donkey.
Arse = A rear end.

Am I right Famine that it depends on whether these words are used their correct context on whether it is fine or not. Anyway that was slightly off topic.

Yes, name changes are a privilege. Many GTPlanet Premium users have signed up for the service to take advantage of the opportunity to have their name changed, and it would be very disrespectful to these people who have supported the site if we were to make an exception for you or anyone else.

"Ass" is not in the swear filter nor is it prohibited from user names, so I'm not quite sure what your problem could have been. I just tried to register "Bounkass" and did not receive any indication that it would not be accepted.

Lol, I didn't know that. Thanks!

Good point...

Weird... Well "back in the day" (2007 or so?), it didn't work... Otherwise I would've had. I'm pretty sure it was due to language violation.

.

If it didn't work in 2007, then I suggest you try again, and if it works, then you message a Moderator saying "I have made a new account, please can you ban the account 'prevoius account name' so that it does now show me logging on to two accounts under the same IP address"

And if it doesn't work.. Then tough luck. I don't see whats so wrong with having to replace S's with Z's. You're still the same person.
