For anyone in the UK preorders have started at some retailers like Very and Argos.

Australia as well:

Console is not up on my preferred UK site yet but I grabbed a Pro Controller from one of the other places. My nephews have my Switch 1 version and this new one has back buttons, after the Dualsense Edge it’s hard to play without them.

Many gameplay videos up now on Youtube and the usual gaming sites from hands-on sessions held yesterday. I'm avoiding as much as possible, going in raw.

Maybe it is Tariffs? Japanese prices are lower and have been region locked to Japanese accounts only to prevent cross country buying.

I'm keen for Mario Kart World, Kirby and the Forgotten Land upgraded, Kirby Air Riders and FAST Fusion (sucks FAST Fusion didnt get a proper trailer, just 5 seconds and refused to elaborate.)
Just a quick correction. The Japanese Switch 2 is only cheaper because there are two versions. International and Japanese.

Difference is the Japanese Switch 2 is region locked and Japanese is the only available language. This is done due to Japans own problems with the value of Yen and being scalped from other countries. Nothing to do Tariffs

Grab one while you can (that goes for a lot of other stuff - tech, clothes, cars). The crap is about to hit the fan and our wallets are the first casualties.

In Europe, Japanese products coming from China shouldn't be affected by taxes, it's not passing through America, it will just affect American that one.

The usual outcome is that instead of passing on all the increased cost to the US consumers, companies bump up the prices in other markets as well. There’s also currency values and inflation to consider. Sadly when the Americans screw up it does affect everyone else.

Pre orders of the version with Mario Kart is available on the UK site. I've got one.

Graphical comparison between the Switch 2 and a Series S running Cyberpunk 2077.

Looking pretty impressive for a handheld. Personally I'm probably going to hold off getting one at launch, maybe jump on board at Christmas.
