since they were never crash tested according to US standards the person who wants to do the legalization must provide crash test data to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, that means werecking a few of them. Another thing is stupid emissions laws are different, and to add to all the troubles there are huge taxes when importing them so overall the main thing stopping the japanese imporrrts to the us is money.

yeah It's complete bull **** but not much I can do, except move, can't do that yet though.
