Well I'm sad to say that I prefer the 350Z over the new 370Z. It's to much like a BMW. I liked the way the 350Z was still very much an indervidual appearance wise. I just really hope that the track version looks better, maybe aftermarket Tuner's can make up the difference.:)
However Nissan is still on the top for me, as no other Manufacturer has brought out any new performance orientated Car's for quie a while. Where's the new Toyota Supra, or the Mazda RX-7. These are very important car's, would be very nice to see them make a comeback. Until then Nissan will own the show.:D

I'm still not convinced on the looks. Like I said in another thread:
Well I do like the shape of the 370Z, but they need to get rid of that ugly front and reshape that rear window/wheel arches. It just doesn't look right in that picture.... :odd:

and it still doesn't! Either way, it is still too early to comment on anything about the car.......

How old are you guys? ;) You're welcome to your opinion, of course, but the 370Z clearly references its S30/240Z lineage.

Well, I think this looks awesome. For me the 350Z was exceedingly bland. The front 3/4 was a collection of practical, unadventurous corners and curves that reminded me more of a coffee maker than a sportscar, and the rear end, while interesting, stuck out too far, giving the car a weird "elongated TT" shape. Something just didn't "click."

This, on the other hand, is almost tempting me away from the 135i (which I've been planning on buying in a few years). I love how the S30 has been reborn in the side profile and other details, the fender flares look great, the kooky headlights and grille "teeth" don't look nearly as bad as I had expected (the grille/teeth recreate the original Z's maw and '70s front bumper).

I think you misunderstood me Wolfe, of course I know what the shape of the 370Z is trying to look like. But like what HACKr said, there are some parts of the cars that looks completely wrong! :yuck:

Also, comparing the 370Z to the old 240Z is like comparing chocolate and s***. ;)

I like it a lot. true, the headlights and brakelights are.. iffy.. but I still like it, if it fulfills Nissans claims of being smaller, lighter and more powerful.

Its a pretty good evolution of the car, it turned out better than I had expected. The interior still has me worried based on the previous model, but if performance is top-notch, that shouldn't be too worrysome. The problem is, like I've said in the other 370Z threads, its in a very crowded segment here in the US. With the Camaro/Mustang/Challenger opposition, in addition to the new Genesis Coupe, the $27-30K range is full of great options. I'm eager to see how Nissan is making this one stand out.

I like the looks but it looks a little awkward at the front, the nose looks too high off the ground, I would be in favor of lowering the front quite a bit, if only that didn't ruin the cars balance....

Hmm. I quite like it. I'm actually almost in approval of the lights on it as well. Let us hope, however, that they never make a convertible version of this one.
Now, they were going to cut some of the physical flab as well with this one, right?

It looks lighter. And better. And way more dynamic.

The old one just looked massive and blah. Nothing about the 350Z evoked emotion or an "oh wow look at that." This though, its just nice and distinct.

The design of the front bumper, the way it curves under make the front end look higher than the rest of the car. If I were to buy one a front lip would be first on the list to make it look more even.

Not liking the L shaped lights though.

Much Much Much better. Still a bit iffy, but the shape of the car is less "fat", and borrows some design cues from the original Z cars. The new headlights and taillights look much better now that they've tweaked them a bit. All in all, I think it's a big improvement over the 350z which always looked bloated to me. Now, if Nissan only had talent in the interior department.

;)

Well this is all I could to without using photoshop. Sorry for the crappy quality...... :indiff:

The exterior design is a bit clumsy I must say; the fish-hook lights still not growing on me.

Yeah, that's an eye-raiser as well...not only do I not get it, but I wonder if offense should be taken...
