I could be in, but I'd need to know the times first. I'll subscribe and lurk this thread. :sly:

Sounds interesting. But I would like to know a definite schedule. I cannot race on Saturdays as I have my own series to maintain. I am also not available on Tuesdays and Fridays. Still, sign me up.

I think one race a week is enough. People may want to prepare themselves and stuff. If that's the case, I vote for Wednesdays.

Not what I am getting at here, actually. For example: The East Series will be held on weekdays, West series on the weekend. Two different series run simultaneously.

Will the divisions be based on where we actually live, or will you decide?

Divisions will be based on what day of the week drivers are looking for. Most likely it will be East on Wednesday, West on Saturday. Tracks will be switched for season two.

In that case, sign me up for Wednesdays! :)

How does a Saturday night and a Wednesday night sound?

I missed this earlier.

Those sound great, but what really matters are the times.

And possibly Nissan March G# '99, a next to impossible used car to find.

I think I may have 2 or 3 of them at least. :D
Of course... I buy it every time I see it. And probably one of them has gargantuan mileage. haha.

However, I do not see it necessarily being competitive with the others... just from my knowledge of its inherent specs/characteristics.
But I could be way off depending on the modifications allowed between the cars.

Saturday people: What time do you guys like?

4-5pm pacific.

Also, one of the March G# '99's just popped up in my used lot.

Saturday is free for me, so no prob with the schedule. I will prefer around 12-4pm Pacific time

Why not stick with just the premium March as then everyone will have the same base car with the same ability to buy it. It also allows drivers to have their race view of choice (ie in car view).

This is a good point. In a cup the cars should all be the exact same (spare fine tuning). I'd say we use either the premium model or the already cupped-out standard one.

As for Saturday times, none would really be that much better for me than another, but I'd prefer to race sometime from afternoon to 5pm Pacific Time. Kinda what R1600Turbo said would be fine.

EDIT: Actually, it sounds like R1600Turbo, reiwon32, and myself all just about agree. :)

Looks like Saturday afternoon it's going to be for the weekend cup. The real March cup has a few different versions of March, but for now, we are just going to stick to the one premium model. Tuning isn't seeming to work out as planned.

Were you planning on running any races during the week? I am looking at just about any day after 8pm EST.

They are going to most likely be Wednesdays if you are running the weekend series.

I'm in for wednesday nights if races start at or after 10pm EST.

One fourth of the way there! If enough sign up, we can do a practice race tomorrow.

I guess you could sign me up, if you haven't yet. I'm 90% sure I can do this. If you've got more information settled, you could update the OP, that might attract more people. Also, do we have an official plan for the cars yet? Because I'd like to start building mine. :)

Also, it would be nice if we could see which divisions we are in. I would also like to know the definitive time and dates.

Don't know if you need it but I have a Nissan March G# '99 in my UCD and would be happy to send it if it helps you out mate, just let me know.

Thanks! Might need it to do some testing this season.

For all the other questions, it's going to be broken down like this for season one.

EAST series will be held on Wednesday.
WEST series will be held on Saturday.

Last thing to sort out will be the time. Most of the people who want to race on Saturday have spoken, so we will look to fall into that timeframe.

Wednesdays would be fine with me, after 8pm EST would be my vote.

Some questions

I see the Wednesday time is not settled...
Is the Saturday time settled? And if so, for what time?

Also, I understand the list of allowed tuning parts.
But along with that, will there be a restriction set for the race?

What will be the damage & penalty settings?

And is there a particular reason AT is not welcomed?

You can use automatic, MT is just preferred. Wednesday series will be held evening time Central Standard Time, Saturday series will be mid-afternoon.

Also, I think thinks like aero/body mods should be regulated, as should wheels. Ya know, I just feel all the cup cars should be identical...

Finally got around to making a car.
