I used to own a maxima when I was in college, plenty of power and a great drive.
Would be nice if it was in the game

The only maximas I could see in the game are the newer 2doors and im pretty sure a modded one would have some nice power to it.

but then again the infiniti 35 in game would kill it...lol

Something tells me the OP was hoping to have this kind of Maxima in the game....

On Racing Softs of course...

In the US, it is sold as the Maxima. But I thought it had another name in the Japanese market. No?

I meant to say altima instead of maxima.

The nissan altima 2.5s 2door is the only regular nissan car I can see in the game.

I want my car in the game, too.

Will destroy you guys online 👍

I heard this also. I also heard that GT5 would only have 4 GTRs in the whole game. BTW the new 2010-12 Nissan Maxima is a sexy car. The old ones are an embarassment

This was what I was wondering. Does it have an alt. name?

The old ones are awesome, we do need more older cars after all ^
I agree. The bigger, newer models are too large for luxury/comfort reasons, so racing them wouldn't be as fun (to me). The older ones I think would have more people excited to get them.

A Maxima wouldn't be a bad addition to GT5, I'd much rather have it in game than about 40% of the car's that are in. What is wrong with him asking if his car is in the game if he heard before that it was? How is a family car with 290 horsepower and 261*lb·ft of torque considered a joke? With a 0-60 of 6.1 secs and a niceish looking body (2009-now) I don't think it's anything to scoff at and this coming from a guy that doesn't necessarily like Maxima's.

I wanted some Trans Am's but didn't happen. Only because I own one 👍 Wish they had some in the game.

I did see a list earlier before GT5 came out. And it had lots of cars on it not in the game. Guess it was someone's wish list.:grumpy:

Nissan Maxima? Might as well put in family wagons or soccer mum suv's.

You cant be serious, gt5 has a few van type of vehicles in the game.

The rangestormer would be your typical soccer moms suv. Not to mention the pikes peak audi truck.

Im pretty sure I can go on.

The Maxima has until recently always been a sports sedan. For as far as I can remember they put the same power train in the Maxima as was in the current model Z car. They are slick little sleeper cars. Light car, 2.8L I6 RWD 5 speed Manual. Very competent little car. No need to make fun of the guy for asking a question.

I stand corrected

I want a Nissan Maxima, Orange paint, a Dutch track and a Argentinian track.

I mean, the Maxima is almost the absolute queen.

There is a Maxima in the game. It might not have the name Maxima but look in the Nissan dealership and see if there is a car that resembles a Maxima, come back on to Gtplanet then you can close this thread.

I would love to know which one.

The Nissan Teana is also called a Maxima in Australia. It was also called the Datsun 810 from 76-83 and the Nissan Cefiro from 95-03. It's only other current name I found is Maxima A35.

I think nycboy21 is thinking of the 350GT or 370GT in which case, no that's not a Maxima.

Don't dare throw dirt on Datsun. It might be overplayed in the gaming community, but in the real world of racing those old Z's are among the elitist cars.
Neither my e46 or DB8 are in the game :grumpy:
