Well what am i entiled to with a rebuild of my top end, new pistons, rings seals valves, gaskets, what am i looking at.

Yes on the above and while you are at it like Niky said get a port a polish done. Take your heads to a machine shop and have them redone. And I'd also inspect the injectors while you are there...hell you might want to upgrade them while you do have the engine apart. And if you can afford it throw on some good cams and gears. 👍 NA tuning this thing will work wonders. Then adding a turbo after all the NA tuning will be just that much better.

If theres nothing wrong with the engine there is no reason to replace all these parts unless you are looking to really hot the engine up and in that case you have to decide what type of tuning you want to do before hand.

'Top end' meaning cylinder head, remove it take it to a cylinder head shop where they will strip it, clean it, measure it up, check for damage, replace seals, anything that it requires and put it back together. Its doubtful you will get much of a power increase from it

If you pay someone for a port and polish the head labour bills will rack up to quite an expense.

Tuning engines is not cheap.

Upgrading injectors will only benefit if he is looking at some bigger power to be made, I'm sure the stock injectors will handle any NA tuning he is going to do. Also with the injector upgrade the computer will have to be modified or replaced, this all comes into big sort of money.

BTW I was joking about the forgeys and GT35R in my above post. :)

The injectors are fine. You won't need to touch them at all unless you're planning on putting a turbo on and are looking for over 200whp.

My bad... didn't consider the difference in labor rates between there and here. Here, you can get a p'n'p, complete with a valve job and flow-testing for just about $600 (not including the top-overhaul itself).

Yea thes tuf im putting on is really only bolt on and will give me maybe 30 more horsepower in the end, i also hope to ugrade the cams aswell from JWT.

Ok, I have recently replaced some essential stuff like plugs, wires, distrubutor rotor, and cap. Anyway thats all nice, dont notice it much but it help to ahve them replaced. Any way here is the problem. I was driving the other day and gave it alittle more than usual and notcie something. It felt as if the car was getting enough gas, becuase at some times the car would pump and accelerate great but with the throttle open to the same amount it would just do notihing special. So what do yuo think it is, maybe a new fuel filter, pump, or maybe i need to if at al possible, clean my injectors, but if i clean the injectors, how and none of that **** you dump into the gas tank.

Great looking car, I even oddly like the yellow. But beware your digital dash is very expensive if it goes out...probably be a good idea to install the normal analog one. They are cool but they are also a pain in the ass to find replacement parts for. My 240SX I had came with the digital speedo and it worked...and then didn't...and then worked...and then didn't.

Yea i dont like the digital dash at all, its not at all practical, the rpm meter is retard and doesnt work. I want to put an annolog on one but i heard that the circutry is so different you need to like rewire stuff.

While your digital dash is working I wouldn't worry about it, good luck with future mods and keep us informed.

Hahaha, funny you ask about the NOVA.. Well my brothers Jetta broke so i gave him my nova, since then he drove it a few times and primed it and fixed rust spots, then he got a ford mustang from my aunt, so the nova sits in the back yard, waiting. I think im going to sell it. Does anyone know how the Nx runs in the snow? And also i ahve been traking down these clear side marker lamps and the front clear turnsignals. So far the only leads i ahve were on sr20forum. This guy fonque had some contact where he had everyone send him the money for the signals then he ordered them for the customers from his contact, etc. But the person making the parts is some thirdparty. The guy did it once 2003, and again in 2005. Now i tried to pm the feller and email him but no word. If no ones about this im going to black out the lights. Does anyone know how to do that. Like spray paint or what? Also i heard of these nx eyebrows called koschi. i also found that guys email but he hasnt returned. ANy one know anything about these elusive yet much wanted parts. Oh the turn signals were also under another name, umm nis-knack, but they are like out of busisness.

thats a car with the clear turnsignals, side markers and eyebrows.

There is this guy that lives near me, who has an NX, turbocharged....400 hp at the wheels, its amazing...cool little car though...

That reminds me, earlier in this thread (I think) I mentioned a friend of mine that has a Nissan NX with a Nissan GTiR SR20DET engine transplanted into it. Well unfortunately last week it was stolen, the police found it the next day burnt out. :(

No insurance. :(

Not long before it was stolen he was trying to sell it but decided not too as he loved it and spent a lot on it.
