the problem is that it keeps going out of control. the tcs and asm go out of control on even a small turn. anyone have any idea as to what the problem is?

Try changing the tires and play with the suspension bound and rebound settings!

I know exactly how to make cars in GT3 handle excellent for drifting or whatever, It's a peice of cake! How ya gonna learn if you don't experiment a tad?

One can learn from ///M-Spec's guide much more efficiently than from just experimentation. There are other terrific guides around that go into the "whys" of tuning in Gran Turismo. Posting something like "play with the bound and rebound settings" without explanation is not really very helpful.

Experimenting's the easy part. Analyzing and understanding the results is a little more difficult if you don't understand the theory behind it.

Welcome to GTPlanet, sangalang. If I can guess, I bet you've added all the power upgrades but youre still running on stock tires, correct? If so, take all the power off of it and add T2 or T4 racing tires. The rubber is the first place to start, because it's like upgrading the acceleration, braking, and steering at the same time.

If you're new to Gran Turismo, here's my other word of advice: brake earlier. I never felt in control of the car until I began to brake earlier than I had been by far.

you could always just turn the TCS and ASM off if they're bothering you
You'll probably go faster without them anyways

beyond that, i will just echo what everyone else has said about suspension tuning and this and that

thanks for all the replies

to neon duke, i've got sim tires on it, and it's not all the way modded, just level 2 turbo, muffler. basically light tuning. no suspension yet but i'm getting to that

That's your problem right there.

Sim tires are meant to simulate drifting, in other words, massive oversteer. Get racing tires - even T2 Super Slicks - without making any other changes, and see if the car is more driveable. "Slicks", by the way, just means the tires have no tread molded into them. It doesn't literally mean 'slick' as in 'slippery'.

Good luck!

Better plan. I assume you're using the Nissan S15 Silvia Varietta, yes?

Throw it away. It's a hideous car, hopelessly slow with one of the worst power-to-weight ratios in the game and THE worst power-to-weight ratio of ANY fully tuned car in the game. I'd rather drive a Cuore. Backwards. And it'd still probably be quicker.

Ah. It was the capital Cs that threw me (manufacturers are using it for hardtop convertibles - 206CC, 307CC - meaning "Coupe/Cabriolet").
