Why I Want This In GT: Gran Turismo has a lot of JGTC/Super GT cars, but I always thought the Castrol Nismo was interesting and it never made it to GT.

From Wikipedia:
The GT-R's success in motor racing was formidable, particularly in the annual 1,000 km race at the Mount Panorama circuit in Bathurst, Australia, where the winner in 1991 and 1992 was a GT-R (despite receiving additional 100 kg (220 lb) in weight penalties and a turbo pressure relief valve in 1992, and crashing), and in the Japanese GT series where it has remained dominant for many years. The Skyline GT-R line were retired from the JGTC series (later changed Super GT Series) in 2004. Its successor, the Nissan GT-R, competed and dominated the 2008 Super GT season, winning the GT500.

I remember seeing this, wondering why it wasn't in GT (Especially since it was one of the factory NISMO cars).

Also, just a small correction: This car is officially called "Castrol Nismo GT-R" (According to the entry names I found from the 2000 season).

And a slightly larger one - the format for racing cars of this flavour is [Make] [Model], and "#2" isn't a model I've ever heard of.

"Nissan Skyline GT-R JGTC Castrol NISMO #2 2000" would be an appropriate title.

Nor is "Castrol" (or "Take", for that matter), which is why I said:

Duly changed.

I believe Castrol really wanted to win the GT500 title in 2000. Reason is that Castrol was the main sponsor on 4 different cars in the GT500 class.

This car, the #16 Mugen NSX (The car that won the championship), and a pair Tom's Supras (#36 and #37).

All were cars being run by the Big 3 factory teams.

Yes.

Mugen ran 5 NSX's:
2000takata.jpg

The Takata NSX JGTC 2000 which has an different livery from GT2 (In GT2, the livery is white and green)

nsx1-3.jpg

The Raybrig NSX JGTC 2000 which is in GT6 since GT3 A-Spec

index.php

The ARTA NSX which we also have it on GT6 like the Raybrig: That car which achieved the victory on 4th round.

016car.jpg

The Castrol Mugen NSX which we also have it on GT6. That car was an 2000 JGTC GT500 champion with 74 points.

Mobil 1 NSX which we have it on GT6, but that Mobil 1 in GT6 is the 2001 version. Is 2001 version the same car as 2001 version?

With 5 teams, Mugen won the JGTC GT500 Manufacturer's title.

Nismo also run the following cars:
GT00-01.JPEG

The Loctite Zexel GT-R which had lost the GT500 championship by just 6 points and was therefore placed as Runner-up. We have it on GT6, since GT3.

GT00-12.JPEG

The Calsonic GT-R has placed in 3rd standings and was attributed less 2 points from Loctite Zexel GT-R. This is also in GT6.

GT00-03.JPEG

The Unisia Xanavi GT-R which was run by Hasemi Sport. This car is not in GT6, therefore, we need it in GT7.

Well, the Castrol Hiroto GT-R, this is an nice car and that's a shame that the Unisia Xanavi and Castrol Hiroto did not make it to GT3 A-Spec and GT6. We hope that these cars are putted in future GT's.

The Castrol Supra which had the worst results of its own journey. Although #36 is in GT6, the #37 isn't. I hope that #37 is in GT7.

111-SARD_Supra_GT-500a.jpg

The #39 Denso Sard Supra which achieved the 2nd place overall on both qualifying and racing on Round 4. This is on GT6.

I couldn't find an picture better than that. If anyone has an picture of real life 2000 Denso Sard Supra JGTC, please send it to me ASAP.

An Esso Ultron Supra which has an tiger's skin livery in it! :D
