Pretty sure the 2jz makes 320hp from factory... they just claimed it was less, as you said.

Edit: MB, the JDM models were 276hp (or claimed to be) and it's the EU/US models that were 321hp.

Quote from wiki:

"Engine power in the North American and European markets, as documented by Toyota, was increased to 325 PS (239 kW; 321 hp) at 5600 rpm."

Edit:
The export version of the 2JZ-GTE achieved its higher power output with the use of newer stainless steel turbochargers (ceramic for Japanese models), revised camshafts, and larger injectors (550 cc/min for export, 440 cc/min for Japanese).

Interesting... didn't know this.

I can't wait to programm nitrous on one of the red round buttons on my G27 in GT6! I think I will also put a "N2O" of "Go baby go" label above the button. :D

BTW a manual boost controller option would also cool for drag racing...

Kaz will never add a boost controller, he's too damn stubborn!

I think it is funny some of the drag racing related comments I see here.
Personally in a game I hate drag racing, it is boring and generally takes longer to load than it does to race.
On the other hand IRL I like drag racing and have done a bit of it myself when I was in my teens - 20s.

When it comes to watching racing I always preferred drag racing over any other type and it is indeed very popular.

I used to live in Bristol Tn, have been to Thunder Valley several times to watch the drags and always enjoyed them, lots of different kinds of cars and lots of different speeds from turtle to rocket down the track.

I have also been to Bristol Speedway to watch a Nascar event which I will never do again, it was long, boring, uncomfortable and gave me a headache that lasted through the next day.

So IRL If I were to race it would be drag racing, If I am to watch a race live or on TV and actually pay attention it would be a drag race. If I am racing on a video game it would be any thing but a drag race.

Nitrous is still cool to have quite often I will not even use it saving it until the end so that if someone tries to use it to get past I have an answer for them or on occasion I will us it to help right a car that is a bit out of control which if used at the right time can help a lot, just doesn't last long.

The manual boost controller would be cool as an upgrade part. When it is useless like on a racetrack you should be able to disable the manual boostcontroller but on dragraces I would want to enable it. The wheels don't spin that much then and when you are on your way, just hit the boos button and you're off!
