Every time I get into the apex and turning da hard as possible the car decells even when I'm going full throttle. It only happens when I'm steering hard.

Is it possibly a mixup in your button assignments?

Traction control shouldn't cause you to decelerate should it?

In the sense that you're no longer accelerating, yes. And when you're expecting it to accelerate and nothing happens it can break your momentum and effectively act like deceleration. I've experienced it with TC on, mash the throttle on exit and it feels like there's suddenly a large anchor attached to your car.

See, this is exactly why it sucks that the console version doesn't have apps. Granted, I believe it's TCS taking over, but it would be nice to have the OP turn on the pedal app and the electronics app so he could see the visual representation of the traction control system at work - same with ABS, of course. :grumpy:

You do get ABS, TCS and EDL lighting up in the gear app that shows in the bottom right corner on PS4

It often does, because it doesn't let the wheels slide so the car simply doesn't accelerate. This thing is very remarkable on DiRT Rally. I personally didn't notice huge problems with Assetto Corsa, but I don't always use TCS

The only time i used factory tcs is fxx k :P

I think it's just the front wheel drive like the Amarth and Alfa Romao cars I didn't have that problem with rwd with some power behind them just the underpowered fwd cars

Keep also in mind the the lower the tcs level (e.g. 1/3) the higher is the tcs. Really not clear to me at the beginning.
I found that out by driving a car that had 3 levels and on 3/3 the HUD hardly ever flashed up with the TC symbol as opposed to 1/3. Trying to pick a nice level in a car that has 12 settings (eg 458 GT2) takes a while and varies per track. I was running 10/12 at Silverstone but found 5/12 better for Spa. Minefield!

From my experience with road cars in AC, I'd say you better turn off TC altogether. Cars are still drivable and feel way more intuitive to me when it's switched off.

Can't second this enough. I don't use TC on any car and, while it makes driving some cars rather difficult, when you get used to it it really adds to, rather than detracts from, car control. Without TC you can steer from the front or steer from the rear and that's incredibly valuable when you reach the point where everything comes together and you become one with the car (Zen moment:sly:).

I'm still a little too chicken to turn off TC on some cars, but I'm getting there. I will run some laps with it turned off, but then go back to Factory if i'm going to race. But, I have turned off TC on the majority of my rides. It's so true, you are so much more connected to the car and road. It teaches you great discipline too. If you're used to stomping on the gas halfway through 90% of the corners of the tracks you drive, you're going to have a bad time. It's basically like french frying when you should've pizza'd.

If you turn TC off and are having trouble controlling the car, try turning on stability control and raising the steering filter. don't go too high with the filter settings and consider the stability control setting like an arcade mode meter. adjusting both a little will make the car much more easy to control and then you can back them down as you get more comfortable.
