I'm having the same problem as mentioned above, after the first race I was credited with gold trophies for the other 2 races, even though I had not done them. Even after winning them to make sure, still got nothing!
Mine doesn't come up as a championship, it's only single races?
Now wondering will I get credited for finishing the Expert series and get a reward for it, seeing that I can't complete the championship?
Yep, as pmbumfoi said, you have to do the entire series, not just a race here and one there to get your prize. I found that out from another racer on here. The prize is a Calsonic, which is a nice car.
You dont get anything for finishing them gold, you do get something however for finishing them, so maybe you got your reward already ? Bronze's enough to get the full series bonus.

I just had another look at mine, in B-Spec Extreme series, Super GT. I don't have a race series, just 3 single races. The description even says that they are single races.
Is anyone else getting the same, or do you guys have a series come up?

Just checked my garage, my Castrol Supra is there. Weird, like yourself I had know clue I had it!
They gave me gold for every race after I finished the first, I probably could have stopped then and still had the car I'm guessing.
