Hi! Some upgrades like the Clutch, Flywheel, Driveshaft, Suspension, etc. don't have effects. The Clutch, Flywheel and Driveshaft didn't do anything like reducing shift, something like that. The suspension didn't improve Handling. Can you, PD and GTP Help me?

Usually everything has some sort of effect for me. Although about the suspension:
If you bought a "SPorts Suspension" (The gold stick with red springs), it SHOULD lower the ride height, and tighten suspension.
For the two other suspensions, those you will have to adjust yourself.
Possibly the reason why the suspension doesn't help is probably because you did not adjust the settings for it.

Clutch does noticeably reduce the shifting time. Forgot about the flywheel, but it at least definitely improves straight line performance as the driveshaft does.

All suspension options should improve the vehicles handling by a certain amount even with default settings, but for a really good result you need to adjust it by yourself (or simply take a GTP tune).

^ Reduce engine power lost when transmitting it to the wheel, put simply, increase acceleration a little bit. Try to run without, test your acceleration at SSRX, then run with carbon driveshaft. There should be slight gain in acceleration. You can also just count how many seconds it took to accelerate while rolling from 60mph to 100mph.

The flywheel makes the car rev quicker, respond quicker, decelerate quicker/harder, and shift quicker. ;)
Possibly reduces shift time "more" than the clutch.

Every part makes some kind of difference.

All upgrade parts make some sort of difference. You are way off base here. The suspension makes a world of difference. Think about it, why would PD implement these into the game if they were not intended to make improvements to your car. Sorry, but this is the most ignorant thing I have ever heard of.

The most ignorant thing you've ever heard?:dopey: I doubt that...lol.

Why would PD implement these into the game if they were not intended to make improvements to your car? Can you say, "Chassis Reinforcement"?

I believe all the upgrades other than chassis reinforcement make a small difference but some of them are measured in tenths of a second, perhaps hundredths. You probably won't notice the difference in the carbon driveshaft for example. when driving the car but it will make a tiny difference in lap times. But upgrading to custom suspension for example, you should notice a difference right away in handling, on any car.

If you want to test it, take the car to Route X and bolt and unbolt the drivetrain parts and see how your car measures up to your ghost.

Actually they all do different things you need to learn to see them.

For example. It makes a big difference while drifting.

My 1966 Shelby cobra 427.
(on DFGT at the time)
Stage 1 weight reduction
Semi- Racing flywheel
LSD @ 5/5/5
Adjustable hight sports kit suspension
Comfort hard tires there you go.

The lightweight clutch plates actually made shifting worse. I used the standard.

The flywheel produced a braking LSD effect on the car.
The drive shaft made the RPMs drop too fast so i didn't use it.

Basically the different amount of power in a car will determine if you need these parts.

So when you think "oh I need all the most expensive parts just because" when in reality you are making your car worse.

You just need to figure out what does what. It will take you a long time to though

You don't believe Chassis Reinforcement does anything?

Chassis reinforcement does exactly what it is supposed to do hahaha. It is really noticeable with applying it with a low spring rate

I guess less momentum (weight in drivetrain) in theory idk. Ive seen wheelspin on deceleration increase from it every time I checked.

Take a look in Scaff's thread (second sticky at top of page). BFBullpup did a test and found a measurable benefit with his Autozam

Yep... It depends on the car/hp/tune whether to install what part.

Chassis reinforcement is basically an understeer aid, if your car oversteers, it's an upgrade. If your car understeers, it'll only get worse though.

I haven't directly TT'd the difference, but a couple WRS weeks I saw noticeable improvements by building a car without it vs putting it on. (Civic RM comes to mind) Half second or more a lap range ftw.
