No ferrari f1 in gt life?

Why do you think we can't use ferrari f1s in any race event besides online? We get to use the ridiculous x1 and even the formula gt but not the ferraris.

Ferrari's licensing contract concerning the F1 models prohibits them to be raced with any other car, even online they can only race against another Ferrari F1. Don't know why and I'm not sure if this is totally true.

It's more down to the licensing agreement Ferrari and every F1 team have with the FIA. The cars are all licensed as a whole by The FIA and the current F1 license is with Codemasters. Ordinarily this means teams can't add their cars to other games as they please, only under certain circumstances and one of those is that they can't be seen racing other F1 cars. You used to be able to race the F2007 against road cars in GT5 but I guess now even that has been restricted and they can now only race against each other, officially.

It's simple to do it, but the host can't drive the ferrari.
Online, The host just needs to set it to Ferrari F1, anybody that wants to drive it gets on the track and exits the pit. The host then changes the cars to unrestricted, the F1 cars are still on the track. The rest of the cars can now enter. BAM! there it is.
