No force feedback for PS3

This really shouldn't come as a surprise, but a gentle (kick in the nuts) reminder that there will absolutely be no force feedback, anwyhere, on the PlayStation 3. None. Zero. Forever. Using your expensive Logitech Gran Turismo racing wheel will feel like your guiding your Ferrari through a sea of buttered pillows, stacked on a cloud. Sony confirmed that force feedback is forever dead on the PS3 to 1UP this afternoon:

"All PS3 games are programmed for the SIXAXIS which doesn't have force feedback, therefore the force feedback in the wheels won't be recognized"

If only I could find some way to embed a deflated series of notes played on a trombone in this post to underscore that bad news, I would. But, like Immersion-patented force feedback on the PS3, we don't support that kind of technology. Sorry!

Another reason why I'm not buying a PS3. Kind of disappointment...

GTHD Japan supports force feedback but only on a japenese PS3 not a U.S one.
You see Sony are restricting its use in the U.S for Sony produced Products!

Feedback is available in the U.S for:
Need for speed carbon, published by E.A who have no issues with immersion.
Ridge racer 7, from Konami who also have no issue with immersion.

GTHD in the u.s and F1 published by Sony, have no feedback in the u.s!

To Toronado and LAbounti believe what you will about the situation, but dont let Sonys pr machine blind you.
Cant wait to hear the next excuse from SCEA over this issue!

No wonder the journo's are biting at Sony, they are fed up with being fed B.S, which when they hear probably have to grit their teeth so as not to laugh at, which they then have to report to their readers, who in turn see it for what is! (or in some cases dont!! )
Spin Is king! I wonder what it's like to live in the lofty, cloudy heights of Sonys world?

I am Not a Sony hater, i love my PS2, ive invested in over 50 games and a DFP as well as much more, and really want the PS3, i love Gran Turismo!
The driving force pro took it to the next level, but why would i want to go backwards and lose the extra dimension that force feedback brings, it really is all that!
No feed back for a wheel in a driving game is nonsense in a next gen console!

I refer this thread to the DFP?G25? thread in the GTHD forum.
