Supposedly, as Peter mentioned, PURE is better optimized than SOL, which should mean there would be performance gains if you keep the same hardware, right?
Theorycally yes, as said my biggest fear is that PURE may requires some update to all the configs, but the only way to know, is install and try it out, so i know what i will have to do this coming weekend :D

Offtopic: Did anyone here knew that long standing member Gregz0r has passed away june the 29th? Was quite a shock to find out (via Discord). Did not know the guy but really loved his VR video's. I think he was also the man behind a 'classic f1' videosite on FB/Instagram? RIP mate...
I do remember him and was wondering why he didn't post video since a month, sad to hear... What discord you were in to hear about the news?

I am in tears, was waiting for years for a decent Singapore track. Thanks a lot man

Very nice, thanks.
Vegetation is a bit too dark for my taste, hope someone will confirm this. I think I saw ghosts coming out of those woods. Scary stuff.

Also, made the track quite heavy performance-wise.
I like the darker vegetation. Nordic forests are just like that in the summer - deep, dark green. With trolls.

But I get some white grass, depending on the time of day/sun angle. Changing time of day will move the white grass somewhere else on the track. Running latest csp, lcs and default pure filter.

(Seasons are set to mid summer, so it's probably not some seasonal thing.)

Hi dear, I know, I really like a contrasting image between highlights and shadows, but it's not easy to please everyone.
Also because a lot depends on the PP filter each person uses, which is most likely different from mine, where I work on tonemapping, contrast, saturation, and gamma.
Anyway, if I can do something, I'm attaching a modified ext_config file to make the vegetation brighter. Let me know if it's okay with you: https://www.mediafire.com/file/k3mjvfpy3fcokrm/Horsma_bright_ext_config.rar/file

Before:

After:

As for performance, I changed a shadow parameter in that file; it will increase FPS, although it will slightly reduce visual quality.
As for the grass, there are five different types of grass in the track, each with different base textures. It was difficult to make everything uniform, so even though it's dark, I wouldn't touch it, otherwise the color would be lost.

Let me know ;)

It's not white grass; it's actually the shimmering reflection of the sun that creates this "bright" effect. I'd like to remove it if I knew how, especially since it doesn't do it with all five types of grass in the track, but only with 1 (or 2), so for me it's tied to the underlying texture.
Any expert advice on how to block the sun's reflection on a material or mesh?
Thanks

Tree normals might be borked on this track, looking at the directional planar shading on some of them.
You can try adding the config I posted a few days ago to see if that sorts them out.

It was on his own discord channel, a family member brought the sad news. ASR dedicated their latest release to him.

These CSP previews are an absolute crapshoot, aren't they?
I think I must have run the 'auto-update' feature about a dozen times over the past few days before it'd update (almost*) all of the skins without crashing, or stopping, or saying there's an issue with LODs or whatnot (lol, WTF - I'm generating previews, not racing).
*Some cars (a lot of F302 ones, for some reason) just flat out won't cooperate at all, and there's a whole bunch of scaling and positional issues too, and some cars with wheels turned slightly and some with wheels straight ahead.

And when you FINALLY get it to actually finish, you find some choice gems like these, all created with exactly the same preset:

The 'I don't even understand my own encryption algorithms, lol what day is it even?' preview:
8.jpg

The 'bukakke festival, very glad someone brought an umbrella' preview:
9.jpg

The 'lets just open some doors for no good reason' preview:
1.jpg

The 'Mexican lowrider hydraulic suspension' preview:
7.jpg

The 'pothole... what pothole?' preview:
4.jpg

The 'help, somebody stole my wheels' preview:
2.jpg

The 'help, somebody stole my car' preview:
5.jpg

The 'beam me up, Scottie' preview:
6.jpg

Good old CSP. Never a dull moment.

Never mind my observations, I'm reverting to the original ;)

@Masscot if that's the Nissan R380 II, it's always doors up. Only car I have that does that.

An certain fella is locking the Le Mans Ultimate Aston Martin Valkyrie LMDh behind an paywall. So i just ported the exact same model over to AC for free. Grab it here
Note:
Note: It's a total Frankenstein when it comes to physics basically re-uses KUNOS stuff with some tweaks from Chemflummi’s older mods, before he started encrypting the physics. Should be fine as a grid filler. Also, I couldn’t find a decent V12 audio file, so I just used CM’s replace audio feature and swapped in Nekotaisen’s Aston Martin DBR GT1 sound from way back. If the audio’s broken, just use that same feature and replace it again. You’ll just have to wait until VRC releases their Aston.

yes the results are unfortunately very mod dependent.......best way is to keep the wheels straight.

For the F1 car, there comes a folder with "animations disabled" or something like that. Just copy the files into the main car folder and you can do the previews without any problem......anyone really needs those animated crew members before the race?

Which GT-R mod is giving you the blue crystals? looks like a new encryption which CM cannot handle?

Thanks, might try that for the F1 cars after checking if they're old-skool round steering wheel and gated shifter. If not, into the bin they go.
The GTR generates previews ok if each skin is done individually. Auto-update craps out for some reason. Quite a few cars have this quirk.

please name some of the mods, so I can check on my side :)

I tried but nothing changed, those lines were already almost all in the config. ;)

My bad y'all, Somehow accidentally uploaded just an PNG & not the whole car. For some reason GT Planet is refusing to let me upload the whole .rar folder so you'll have to grab it of the mega link in the original post, Updated the link there so should be fine. Again my bad. :banghead:

One of the best parts of modding is finding the solution after 100 attempts! 😀
Now the lawn is all nice and green and is no longer influenced by the sun! 😉

For those who don't want to redownload everything, just add this line with value 280:

Senza titolo-1.jpg

However, I recommend re-downloading the 1.2 update below and replacing the files. I made small changes and wasn't sure they were in the previous one. I checked again in this config and I'd say it's the final version:

Just throwing this out there for anyone to try. I did the same thing for Nords' ai that I did for Monza. I re-recorded the sidelines to get them off the kerbs to try and get past the start of the race without a giant pile up. It seems to work pretty good. I didn't really touch the original ai line so they should race about the same as they do with the stock ai, but hopefully without the carnage. Some day I may actually re-record the racing line but for now i'm just happy to be able to run an actual race.

I included the original fast_lane and ai_hints file so there's no worries about reverting back to stock. You would just need to rename two files. I also included two of my own hints files with some additions because for some reason some of the modern GT3 car mods couldn't handle a few turns. If you find the ai still wrecks too much, try deleting the ai_hints file and rename ai_hints_alt to ai_hints.

I will admit that this wasn't thoroughly tested with all cars so your mileage may vary. I found it works great with the RSS GT cars and most GT3 cars even using a 95% +/- 5% aggression setting and i'm good with that. Even if I can only race the GT cars, i'm just happy to be able to race something. I was getting tired of driving solo laps all the time.

Ah, good old LastStudioRage. At least those are not encrypted, unlike his **** port of the RF2 BTCC or some FM7 cars...

Anyways. Can't wait to see that car just TRR's roster and say it's theirs, juuuust like the other, totally-not-FSR-ports-from-LMU... Which won't still be properly finished, like the Cadillac which did not even have proper shaders applied for the metallic and chrome skins.

It was a right ballache to fix something with AO baked in, so much so I had to basically recreate the skins from scratch lmao.

Try this .kn5 file - just rename you existing one in the car folder as a backup and then try this.

I've fixed the models for the rims and brakes, hopefully that works fine, seems to be fine on my side.

Edit - My bad, forgot to change the shader settings, which I've done now.
Wow, a long-standing problem solved in a day! Thank you so much! So how did you solve it? If possible, I would like to fix other cars as well.
