This is crazy. I cannot find a load cars from garage icon in arcade mode. I searched and read a thread made in january before the game came out talking about this, but noone was able to give a definite answer, obviously. But Im fearing the worst.

What im really pissed about is that you cant race the nike car in 2 player (and maybe other cars who knows) what hte hell can you gain from restricting cars like that?

Isn't the lack of a Garage Load in Single-Player Arcade Mode there to stop you from buying a car in GT and taking it for a free test drive?

Do you race?

its stupid because it only costs 5cr to test drive anyway 👎

Yeah, but PD would be thinking long-term here - how many cars would you like to buy over the course of the game and multiply that by five. That's how much you'd save if there was no test drive (or free test drive) mode.

You can't load cars from your garage for single player arcade races or time trials, but loading garage cars works for 2 player races, and hopefully also for LAN races (I have yet to test this).

yes you can load your car in the garage for 2 player battle. the only REAL PROBLEM for me is that you dont have any driving assistance such as TCS. its so annoying because i have a 300hp spoon civic type r and from the start i just sping the **** out of me tires.

im very disappointed with GT4 so far because of this. my 800hp skyline v spec II n1 is useless if i dont have any traction control.

if you load a car from your career mode it will retain all the settings you have set in the game. if you load an available car from single player it will have the TCS, provided you have TCS turned on in the options menu for single player mode.

wa wa wa... wait who drives with traction control again ? not meeee ! granted it is nice to have with a car that likes to break loose every time u hit the gas, but that's what they made analogue gas pedals for :) later-

TCS and ASM take away from the car's potential, though they do make it easier to drive for some people. THey help with good starts for some people, but i never use any assists.

In the words of Jeremy from www.purepwnage.com ,,

i never use any assists :P cus i got teh micro uber throttle control technique

Learn to drive it, thats the point of the game. I hate all that stuff because you're not going to have it in real life.

I'm not positive on this but I believe you will be able to do races on any track with any car in your garage in GT mode. Once you have unlocked all of the tracks. They are listed under Real , Dirt/Snow , Original , etc. :)

ASM yes but TCS can allow your car to do faster lap times than without when set right in the more powerful cars. In the cars that it can improve lap times with it's increasing the cars potential not taking away from it.

yeah you have to find a balance of traction vs. loss of power. if you crank it up too much then obviously your car is going to be bogged down by the TCS. setting it on 1 or 2 is usually good enough for the cars ive used, ive only used 2 on a 280 hp integra w/ stock tires and suspension.

Don't know if anyone has posted this yet, But, I found out that every car that you buy in GTmode will become unlocked/available to you in Arcade mode. I noticed this when I bought a few cars, then went to Arcade mode, and those cars were available to me when they weren't before I bought them. So you could just put the cars that you buy in GTmode into the "Favorites" list in Arcade mode, and that will be your home garage.

edit: Looks like you can only have 30 cars in your favorites though :(

hey wait a minute, you can't load your garage cars in single player in arcade mode?!?!

In essence, they are loaded for you. Instead of having your own garage to load like it was in GT3, the cars you acquire in GTmode are simply unlocked, and available for you to race in Arcade mode. When choosing a car for a race you have to look through each car manufacturer to pick one of your GTmode cars. It takes a little longer to get into a race because we don't have a garage in Arcade mode where all of our cars would be in one place. Bottomline: You can race any car that you have in GTmode in Arcade mode.

Unfortunately the cars in Single Player arcade are stock, though you can increase or decrease power by up to 20% and increase or decrease weight by uo to 10% in Settings and if the car has an adjustable gearbox you can specify the top speed.

Useful as you can increase the power and reduce the weight of an F1 car (I managed a 2:52 at the unchicaned Le Mans circuit like that which would have been faster had I not messed up slightly). Must see if it works with the Model T and those two old Mercedes!!!

It's just like the arcade was in GT1.you couldn't use any of the cars in your garage, and you had to play arcade mode to unlock alot of the cars that were available. At least in this one you are able to use all of the cars as long as you buy them in Sim mode, and you are able to tune them a little bit. It also reminds me a bit of GTC, you can't really tune the cars too much in that game either, you are just able to change the settings.

There comes a point with every car when the amount of horse power makes it undrivable. There are few cars (mostly MR) that can handle the 700 + horse power pepole throw into them and still be able to take a corner well. Just because a car can accept a stage four turbo and 800 horse power dosnt mean you should.

Tell me more about this "Test Drive" feature, you can test drive any car you want? I thought you had to bring your car with you in Photo or Photo Drive modes?

Is there a way, either in arcade or career mode, where I can just try out a track without racing on it? I know there's time trial, but it doesn't have all the tracks in there. For example, in the beginner events, in the FF series, one of the tracks is Hong Kong. I'm not used to the track so I'd like to drive on it and get used to it without entering a race. If I look in time trial, Hong Kong isn't one of the tracks listed yet. Is there a way I can still do this?
