How come there's no Infineon track? I loved racing on it since it's only about an hour away from me.

Compared to GT4 there's actually quite a few tracks that aren't in the game. Is this because of some licensing issue or contract fall outs?

I loved Sears point! What a great track and what a shame its not in GT5.

It was my favourite tack in GT4 and Tourist Trophy

Unfortunately no. Such a shame to have a NASCAR championship series in the game, but without Sears Point.

:(

Yes, Infineon Raceway would be the most welcome add to tracks. 👍

We already have some suitable super cars on it. It was great fun in GT4 and iRacing.

I love Infineon, the crest in the right hander with the hightened kerb after the start would be awesome to roll a car.

Save your pennies... given that PD appear to have 'ported' several tracks already it can only be a matter of time before the DLC express arrives... :D

In the 2008 PSP version GT there is Infineon , and there are some great courses too, like New York, and Seattle.. Just a time to put them on GT5.

Especially the fact that NASCAR is added now, I'm very surprised they didn't even put the Infineon Stock Car Course in the game...

I never really checked if Sear's was in the game yet. Why did I miss that? Well now that I know it isn't, you can count me in with the people scratching their heads on why it isn't there; with NASCAR in the game and all. :(

I heard in an interview with the top dog that there will only be updates but no DLC for Gran Turismo 5, i just hope the source is wrong

I can understand why some of the original tracks have been cut from thre series but I'd say that any real track that was in previous games but not GT5 is a step backwards. I really miss Infinion and Twin ring Motegi (there may be others that I have forgoten about too)

i live 30 mins away from infineon and i want to take my car there for hookedondriving.com but i wanted to practice the course first.. but its not there.... WTF? like toerider said "any real track that was in previous games but not GT5 is a step backwards." just like any other content that was in a previous gt and not in the new one. i dont know what PD was thinking..... and i definetly hope that the source was wrong about gt5 only having updates and no DLC. otherwise i might loose all faith in PD

To be honest, i still have my hopes up, that someday Kaz will think: ''Wait a minute, i just realized, where the hell is Red Rock Valley?''

Has anyone noticed that the Infineon logos have also been removed from the Audi R8 race car, and replaced with a barcode?

I wonder if this could somehow be linked to Infineon Raceway not being in the game, or if its just an odd coincidence.

Sorry to dig this thread up, but I thought it was better than making a new one.

I noticed this as well.

It probably means they lost the licence/rights to create the track, or the track is no longer called 'Infineon'.

why is it that this track is still missing? playing infineon endurance in R8 race car 01 was the apex of gt4, how can we go on without this technically addictive track?

A suggestion that would fix it all:

PD need to give us an advanced track editor, let us 'fan-boys' build all the tracks we want, real world and fantasy.

We can share them on the net. With the fan-base that GT5 has there'd be eventually some 'd@mn close enough' ones out there.

cool idea?

But likely to happen . . . No.
