The update has arrived, but the expedition for it hasn't.

Figured that you don't need to complete the expedition to acquire what you need to salvage the space debris. You do need to use a Corvette-class ship fitted with a tractor beam though. I don't know if corvette tractor beams are a new module for ship building available with this update or whether they existed before?

Before this new update dropped i'd stopped using my corvette. I really enjoyed building it, but for everyday use it was just a pain to get in and out of with all the corridors and narrow ladders between the cockpit and the ramp, so i'd just been using a regular starship instead.

Given there's been a number of updates between when i last used it, at some point something has changed in the game that now makes my corvette get 'caught' when trying to exit (and to a lesser degree enter) space stations, my own freighter when docked and the new salvaging space outposts. I'm burning through half a dozen shield recharges before i can work myself free :rolleyes:

Time for a new user-friendly corvette build i think!

It’s going to be a long time before I have my own space station. Existing save was very out of date, no idea what I’d been doing, so I started from scratch. I think the new expedition is supposed to be a sort-of guide through all the updates and new systems so doing that should help. Will just chip away at it alongside my other games.
