What a disappointment.
How arrogant can PD get. They new people where hoping for more than this. Why not just come out and say what's coming and whats not. Saves the misery of waiting :-)

New songs and Fashion.....Just a joke.

At the least, after all this time waiting, we should have had a few totally new tracks or some of the favs from the previous games.

I can't even be bothered testing the AI improvement at the moment.
Back to GTR Evo and Shift 2 then.

Its your fault for getting your hopes up too much, they've just given another big FREE update and you're moaning? :O

Enjoy, and bon voyage! I'll stick to the game where I can actually take a pitstop when racing online :D

It is a great update and just because it didn't give you what you want, you are going to moan about it.

Maybe some earthquakes and tidal waves would slow you down too?:dunce:

I think we all understand your disappointment, but just calm down a little... Have fun with whatever game you decide to play...

Actually, I think he's too arrogant to understand that. It's despicable some GT fans are like this OP. And he's still checking the thread.

Please, go join another forum.

Get ready for his offensive post?

Seems as though no-one remembers the days, not so long ago, when console games never got any updates at all because they weren't connected online...

Ah yes, first world problems.. heart shattering, are they not?

In other words.. stop whining.

True that, but likewise company's have totally forgotten the concept of making 100% sure that a game is playable before releasing it. I'm not saying that in a "GT5 SUX & NEDZ MORE STUFF" sense, purely as a reply to your well founded observation. :)

You know what else is dissapointing ?

Constant bitching and moaning about how PD screwed us over.

Either play the game through it's flaws and wait for updates, or Gtfo of forums and play another game.

Fashion? PD single handedly transformed my driver and my Bobs into full fledged supa fly Gangsters. If that's not cool, I don't know what is.

If they are making a big DLC/update with more cars or tracks, then i'm sure it would take at least half a year since it takes about 6 months to model 1 car (so i've heard) so don't rule it out just yet...

It REALLY REALLY isn't PD's fault. If anything, say it's PD's fault for trying to perfect the game/taking so long.

👍 I hope more people read this one. 👍

I actually didnt even mean PD there. I just can't remember the last time I popped in a game for the first time, and didn't have to install an update to fix various bugs. Back in the day a game was released working. End of.

Yea, I was hoping for standards to be updated. But that can really wait. Most people just wanted the in-race saves. And it's here.

I wanted to say that :(

They put in in race saves?

It's likely because games today are just so massive compared to what we were used to in the early days of gaming.

The reason games don't get finished now is because they know they can patch them later.

Just my opinion but every game company that does this is completely ignoring their true fanbase. These people never had a console hooked up to online, and some of them still don't. I understand problems arise during development, some take it to the extreme.

But then, about GT5, we can say Kaz didn't want to release it but had to. That's really what happened. All the "delays" since launch seems odd, but it wasn't finished and they kept pushing it back until the early release came. But in a sense, PD DID leave some things unfinished that they could have finished, but I"m sure it was to focus on bigger features that needed polishing before the release. The first major update was, undoubtedly, in the works of being put into GT5 before it was released, but they had to hold off for a few weeks.

NOOO. I mistook championship race saves as endurance in-game race saves.
:( lol

But still, we have during championship saves? Still sweet ^^

I agree with you on all points. But the question is would it have taken another 2 years like Kaz said or would it have taken longer.

And the bigger question would you still have bought it if at November last year they would have announced we wouldn't see it until 2013? I probably would just like most because we would be expecting GT5's balls to be exorbitantly huge.

It probably would have only taken another 2 years on account of the groundwork already being done. I see what you mean, but I don't think he would have even taken another two years completely.

I still would have bought. I would have hated the extra long wait though. But another thing, unless the PS4 is going to be able to let developers carry on their previous work from the PS3, we would have had to wait even longer for GT6 (so probably 7 years from this point in time). I think we really would have only seen GT5 for the PS3. But that really gives me reason to believe that Sony is making the PS4 just like the PS3 in a way to make it easier to "carry on" previous work.

LOL people want the world for their $59, how much would you pay for new tracks? games like COD charge for new maps why should GT5 be any different? go and play your lame pc fan modded sims you'll be back xD

I remember them well. I also remember when PD games did not need constant updates to fix problems and update lacking content.

They all could've dealt with updates, GT2 being the most egregious example, it just wasn't feasible to do them with the tech at the time. That and users weren't "gifted" with the insane sense of entitlement that some seem to have these days.
