So, I know Willow Springs and Fuji both have Kart tracks, as does LeMans, I believe, so why aren't these real world kart tracks in GT6? I think it would be fun.

I'm sure we could do that in GT5, i seem to recall ragging a few cars around there!

You could. I drifted the C7 Corvette on one of the Kart Spaces. I don't know why they took that ability out of GT6. Also, I know Stowe is used for Karting.

Willow Spring's Kart Track isn't in the game. This is it:

(Also missing the Horse Thief Mile course, which you can see in the course preview and is right next to the Streets Course)

Actually, I think most tracks have a kart track for people to amuse themselves during the long races.

Here's a list of circuits in-game that have a go kart track IRL:
Suzuka (multiple)
Willow Springs
LeMans (at least two)
Fuji (multiple)
Daytona
Tsukuba
Laguna Seca has the space and ability to set up one
Spa-Franchochamps
Twin Ring Motegi (several)
Ascari has the space for one, and one is even mapped out in Google Maps.
Brands Hatch (has two)

Ascari seems to be a relatively new course, and really just has the main course and a couple of short courses. Seems like they did leave room for a make shift karting course, though and Laguna Seca seems to have evidence of kart courses being set up. All the others listed have at least one. Motegi has at least four large ones and several smaller courses. The other Japanese courses seem to have quite a bit of karting circuits as well. Fuji even built circuit in a Fuji layout. Silverstone had other karting courses, but definitely have been using Stowe for a while as the other area, even in Google Maps looks like it hasn't been used in a while. (Also, would love to see the old Silverstone Bridge Course)

In GT5 karts were able to race in the rain, it was even possible to race them at Nürburgring 24H at midnight with full rain, so the weather explanation doesn't really work.

So, my only explanation would be that PD wants to be a bit more "realistic" although, I don't see why tracks wouldn't let karts on their tracks and, really, visa versa. Especially for promotional events. Also, to be honest, we really don't want an ultra realistic game. Like, NASCAR themselves wanted their cars to be raced on any track. And it's why we love cars like the FTO LM Edition and the Vision GT cars. We WANT to be able to race any car on any track. That's something that EVERY race should do.

And real life karts can be equipped with rain tires as well. PD's mentality is the "big brother" way of thinking. "Oh these tracks can get dark and karts have no lights so we better not let them race there. Plus we didn't code any rain tires for karts. We know what's best, let's just not allow karts to go to weather change tracks. Good job fellas."

Have you got images to this other already existing kart tracks?

Brands has two? The only one I know of is so small that it wouldn't be worth putting in GT.

I used google maps. Handy resource for checking out tracks. Brands Hatch has a little one and then they have another near the bridge:

And the prospectives:
Laguna Seca: (Evident that a kart track has been set up there at times. To the point where you can almost make out the track.)

Ascari: (Seems like they've laid out the outline for where a kart track will go.)

EDIT: According to Ascari's website they have a skid-pan and kart track, which is what this image would be. I guess they leave the outline there for when they want to set up the kart track. And when there isn't karting it's the skid pan. Also, I should mention that Willow Springs and Ascari also have "buggy" tracks.

Ahh that. That's not actually a karting circuit, it's the course they hold their rally driving experiences on. They also use it as part of the route for the Brands Hatch Winter Stages, which happens every January. It's an easy mistake to make though, I only know because I've seen this in action! 👍

EDIT: Spa's track is also visible in-game. Though I don't see it as entirely necessary, it may be in at some point. Though not a kart circuit, I'm almost certain will get the Willow Springs Horse-Thief Mile at some point. Also, when we get Course Maker in GT6 we also have limitless potential for kart tracks! :)

^ Interesting! Thanks

Still looks like it'd be a fun little circuit.

Oh yes, that's for sure! In fact, I feel some of the tracks that also host rally events (Brands, Monza, etc.) should have the rally routes included. All it takes is the addition of barriers in most cases. You could do multiplayer rallies, with each driver starting a little while after the other like they did in that Toscana special event in GT5. It'd be far more authentic than what we have now... Anyway, this is off-topic! Apologies!
