No Reverse lights???

I love this game and everything about it--except one thing--there are no reverse lights! The headlamps and the brake lights have proven to be the best out of all other racing games. But even in games that have some of the worst CAR graphics have reverse lights. Seriously, can the mighty gt3 be outplayed by a car in Grand Theft Auto 3? I could sure use an explanation. Thank you.:mad: :banghead: :mad: :banghead:
 
The best explaination I can give (and it isn't very good) is that in general, we tend to race in the forward direction. I'm not being sarcastic (well, maybe a little). I would love the game to be as realistic as possible.
 
in the options screen right at the beginning under car options you can turn the reverse lights on or off...
 
On the subject of lights, i think that the EVO V has the best looking lights in the game, especially when it's racing on the Laguna Circuit.
 
Klostrophobic are you for real? Your telling me that you dont play the best car sim of all time coz it has no reverse lights?
Man, i thought i was fussy!! Plus Ving said that there are reverse lights, but i havent gone through options yet so i cant confirm.
 
Um, 'Hot4', I very much believe Klostrophobic is being sarcastic. You really shouldn't go believing everything you hear, or see typed, in this case. ;) Welcome to GTP.

As for reverse lights, I had noticed they don't go on, I've always thought it'd be kinda cool to have them light up, then again reverse isn't used all that often (not to mention I use the in-car camera so I wouldn't see them anyway) At any rate it's faster to do a 180 if you need to point in the right direction again, unless you're in a FF car.

I cant find the Reverse lights option in the menu. Which menu. Is it the options menu with all the choices on which to edit or is it something else?
 
i think the headlights were overlooked. on all cars the head lights look painted on, there is no 3dimensional feel towards them. the lense flare looks good though. i hope they fix the headlight issue in gt4

man, that's what I thought

I knew i can't be missing a spot in the options menu for sooo sooo long! good thing i spent no more than 2 minutes looking through my option menus again.....o_O
 
Humm ....... didn't know there was a thread about this subject ....... had I known I would have taken notice as to when, where, and wich car it happenend but ........... I did have backup lights come on on one of my cars at some point (a glitch maybe?) looking at a replay ...... but really can't remember wich car. Next time I see it, I'll post an update.
