This is the second race of the tournament which will be held at the magnificent apricot hill speedway. Remember that you have to pick a different car than the one you used for race 1 from your brand of choice.

the deadline for this race is wednesday, 11 october, 1900 cet.

we have agreed not to do any cheating but otherwise there are no rules, which means that you can pick the track order, the race mode (arcade or gt mode, single race or race event), the car setup, clean or dirty hotlapping, etcetera.

please post your laptimes in this thread as soon as possible together with your car of choice, so everybody knows where he (she) stands and can try to do better.
 
first laptime for the 'hill: 1.12.681

using the fantastic bmw m3 csl - my all time favorite car in gt4.

it was in gt mode, full tuning, forward mode.

very funny metar. what i meant, off course, was that you can do dirty laps but you cannot use hybrid cars or do other mean stuff that you cannot do if you only use a normal ps2 and a normal gt4 disc (and your ds2 or whatever wheel).

i did cos this is no rules and i finally get to do the things i otherwise never can.

thanks for posting your time. i upgraded to 1.11.875 so i'm very curious what car you're driving. it's not the csl by any chance?
 
LOL, no its not the CSL, but its not a race car either, I got my time down to 1:11.524 without the use of nos
 
Ok time to RACE:D, anyways I know what car I will use and I will try this tomorrow.
 
improved my lap at the 'hill to 1.11.720 :ouch: still slower than imraan. HUGE fun tho in my csl. i used poor old joe's settings with a few tweaks (rollcage, auto 14, full lsd, 3*1 aids).

EDIT wasn't too happy after all so i turned to scaff's great tuning guide with an excellent example csl setup. tweaked it a bit (auto 10 final 2.888, df 2x30, no aids) and improve to below 1.11 !!! ok imraan, the challenge is with you now.

Much more fun than Fuji 90's, and the Rabbit is a 1,000,000X more fun than the Nardo or the HPA R32.👍 So far my times aren't exactly comparable to the others posted, as one would expect.
 
Got a new time for you Steven, 1:10.375 (again done without nos)

Well Im not running a CSL at the hill, but I did spend an hour running and setting up the car, I guess I was a bit bored, but I did manage to get the time down to 1:11.138 (this is not a submition) without the use of nos. I guess I prefer to get as much out of the car before I start using nos

No sweat Steven/Ben, here's my first attempt at this weeks race...

SuperT - Audi Nuvolari - GT mode - 1'17.070

I'm expecting to be able to get another second or so off by wednesday, need to tweak the suspension as I'm still losing the back end quite regularly. No NOS for me this week either as it's not available for the Nuvolari. :(

Finally found time to run my 5 laps ;)

One thing I want to say about my lap, all though I used NOS it's a clean lap.
 
Finally got a new best time of 1'10.219.

Oh, and I give up on beating that time, it's too damn hard with a standard M3.
 
My best so far is a 1'30.XXX with the '76 Golf. I'm going to switch from the 4 spd to a 6 box, add nitrous, a roll cage, rice spoiler, N/A tune up, (Sorry turbo!) and a very important LSD, 'cuz I'm sick of spinning one wheel all around the track! :p

Just spent a few laps on this in the same car as Metar ;)
Also 100% clean OLR-Racing standard and I got this;
1'15.221

Very brief play time BTW.

I pulled a 1'22.592 with the Golf on my first lap with nitrous. With some work and LSD settings I hope to get near your time. ;)

Got a new time for you Bigracer, I got my time down to 1:08.467 with the use of nos, but I know theres still a second or two to gain, oh and it was a clean lap as well.
