Can we please stay on topic? And like I say, "what has to be said has to be said even if it isn't brief." When Darin copy and pasted something you said, Code, did you complain at Darin? Now we're even.

When it comes to this kind of racing, we can resemble a 24-Hour race within 2 hours (I'm not doing 2:45:00 like at Tokyo R246!). The length of the race can be like that only if there will not be saving. If there will be saving, the race can be segmented. Check this.

Let's pretend that the 24 Hour race will be like a 10-race championship. The ten "stages" will resemble times of day. So the 10 race deal would be something like: late afternoon (saying that the race traditionally starts at 4PM), evening, sunset, twilight, before midnight, after midnight, early morning, sunrise, late morning, and afternoon. What happens is that no matter what happens, the race can be saved from the current positions on track. So if you run off track at Tetre Rouge or Arnage, you'll have to recover to continue on. Only the "NASCAR Racing" series from Sierra/Papyrus did this, and I thought it was cool after I quit out of a race to resume later. I'll talk about another variation of this idea in a future post.
