No Sport mode, DR = E, isn't it unfair?

I haven't played Sport mode yet since I don't have PS Plus. By default my DR is E and that looks to my friends and other people that visit my profile that I'm a ****** player. Isn't that unfair? Wouldn't it be more logical to have DR be "-" as in no DR?

Half of the japanese Players that create cool liveries I come across also have that rating. It‘s the default rating you have until you‘ve completed 5 races. Once you have left DR:E you can never go back there so it‘s basically an indicator that you haven‘t touched sport mode yet

EDIT: Tree‘d

Oh, so DR E means less than 5 Sport races. Still, it would be more logical to be denoted by empty space or "-".

if your friends can put their glasses on they would see you havent done a single sport mode race

The issue isn't with the system, but with the people thinking it reflects on your overall driving skill. It's a reflection of your Sport Mode accomplishments, not your overall speed in the game.

Think of GT6; there's no way to tell how quick a player is without a rating. It doesn't mean they're slow.

Well driving clean, means less agression when overtaking. The player probably stayed out of trouble. Progressing with SR:s in terms Dr is harder. An that guy is actually in a bad place - there are only 183 with that rating worldwide, so it's hard to get out of there. He's got a better chance with lower SR

well , as long as you can keep it on the track even at turtle speed you should be high SR lol

I guess thats true. I forgot that everyone starts at SR B. I was thinking how the hell did they get 80 SR points in less than five races :dunce:

Its possible within two races - got 41 SR points in one Nation Cup race yesterday :)

He doesn't have PS+

The game gives you 48hours free PS+ to try out online, well it did for me when mine ran out.
Just try to enter a Sport mode race and it automatically takes you to the store to get it.

Where do you you find your SR points??? Im a little slow, Im not the sharpest knife in drawer if you know what I mean.

I used to see a Japanese DR-E/SR-S hot-lapper putting times in the Top 10 qualifying for some of the daily races; often in the top 3. Obviously someone's alternative account? Their profile has 4 races with SR of 85, and 20077 km's distance driven!

Most likely, it used to bother me more than it should have that people back in gt5 would use several accounts and flood out the top 10 leader boards. It doesn't seem to really be a thing anymore though.

If you have a DR-E and 65 pole positions and 93 online wins, the hell with what anyone thinks of your driving skill.
That's impossible, since the E ranking is only given to players with less than 5 races. After that the lowest you can go is D, even if your DR is 1
