no such paint color

So somewhere between today and yesterday I received a color called "no such paint color" The chip shows matte pink, but when I paint a car with it it is black. I'm not talking pearl black. I'm talking the darkest black you've ever seen. No shine, it's like matte black only extremely dark. It's by far the coolest color I've seen.

Anyone know where it came from or how I got it?

I would... but I'm not fully sure if I want to trade it yet.

If i'm the only person to have it, that may be a very good advantage in future trades you know? I will consider giving it out for free though. :)
 
Ok so here's the deal. it happened when I deleted my game data, but when I downloaded all the updates again it was gone. I'm going to go on my other account where the car is and see if it's still the same black color. If it is I'll save a replay and take pics.

Maybe it was the XJR-9 paint. Just a guess.

It's a color called "Satin White Pearl" I guess it just wasn't in 1.05 for some reason so my car showed up black? man I'm sad. that was such an awesome color.

Sorry for the false alarm guys. In the thumbnail of the car it still shows up black though...

Hmm. I probably have that paint chip since I have many, but maybe it could've been for a DLC car.
Such as Nero Nemesis from the Aventador.

I don't think you need the DLC to get that paint chip. I wanted to duplicate the Nero Nemesis paint chip and I sent it to my other account that had no DLC including the Aventador and it still showed up fine.

I didn't buy the Subaru BRZ yet but I wonder if maybe the colour came in with that package.Can you buy it in that colour? I can't get close enough to see what's available. 💡

You can do the trade glitch with it. You'll still have your paint even though you sent it already to another person.

The 'no such colour' paint always appears when you load a car in an older game version that wears an added paint chip, like it's been said.

It does indeed look pretty cool, PDi should have included it in the paint DLC. :drool:

On his previpus post he said that he doesn want to send it so I said why not trade glitch so that we both have it. So right now your not reading the thread. :sly:

Question. While in an older game version, could you gift the car or the chip to someone in a newer version and retain the deep black color? Just wondering:idea:

No, because you won't be able to connect to PSN without being on the latest GT5 update.

Anyway when I deleted my game data and went to 1.05 I received 2 car tickets and I went to the delivery truck to see what they were. It said on both tickets "no such car." I believe that those 2 tickets were probably the GT86 and a Kart.
