No top gear test track in practice mode?

I'm not very far along, but I checked the list of tracks in practice mode, and there was no top gear test track. Does anyone know if it can be unlocked? I noticed other tracks missing, so that gives me hope that there will be unlockables.
 
It becomes available after you complete the first Top Gear challenge in your special events. You need to be Level 4 to attempt the race.
 
No, just the first top gear track event, where u race with the Volkswagen vans. It's quite a pain just accomplishing that though. You have to race pretty aggressively to get first, but also have to avoid hitting any cones or bumping other drivers too hard. Well worth the trouble, though, if you're a top gear fan.

No you don't, I got bronze on it because I suck at the special events and the track unlocked.

Hmm i didnt get all gold and i did not see the track unlocked. Maybe didnt look properly - is it under 'World Tracks'?

It seems there is still some confusion: Info I found elsewhere (still not playing),
1 Gold (Beginners) on Top Gear Test track event.
 
I'm Bronze at first and second events of TG Special Event and still no TGTT.

It's gonna be a long and tough pain in the ass to get this one :(
 
I dislike like that first race with those Volkswagen's, It's such a slow and boring race... Any tips to actually complete it with ease?

I'll complete it for the sake of unlocking the TGTT, but if I have to complete all of them, I'll do it another time.
 
Here is how you unlock the top gear test track: just get gold on the first top gear special event. Just the first one. That's it.

It's worth it to have the track in practice. Race aggressively. Only break on the hammerhead and gambon. Choose a racing line that avoids bumping into other cars. You should be in 6th place at the end of the first lap. I didn't get into first until gambon on the second lap. Hope that helps.

Brake late and avoid rear ending other vans pretty much, line yourself up well for the hammerhead and chicago and you can pass a few cars leaning on them on the inside

At one point i was leading with 2 corners to go - i got disqualified for putting it a little too much into the grass..Arrrrrrrgggghh:) I'm loving the special events though - no need to rush going through the levels in GT5:tup:
 
I just don't get the point of using a VW camper van. It's not fun at all, whoever at PY thought this up needs sacking. Now gokarts, they are fun!
 
It's the kind of stupid race they'd probably try on Top Gear, a bit of PD humour if you will ;)

It's nice to see something a bit less 'clinical' in the GT series

Personally i liked it, but remember that this race is meant to introduce new users to this track so a slow car helps them to learn it easily

I just think they were being difficult. My dad used to have a VW camper. It was horrid to drive and I am glad to see that Polyphony have got it accurate. To make it fun they should have randomly have the engine's explode or gearboxe's fall out. Then it would have been spot on accuracy wise! 💡
