Noisy Ads

They are here, and they are annoying. A flash banner that just sits there and blinks at me I can handle, but when an advertisement starts making this noise it begins to get a little buggy. I have encountered the "SHOOT THE PAPARAZZI!!" one at least twice. Anyone else having encounters with these annoying ads?
 
There's one of those that has a fly in it. That one is quite annoying as well.

I can't stand these .. I normally keep the volume off though.

I believe thats what signing up for GTPremium is for.. IMHO the banners are there to support the site and If you dont like them then get the GTPremium..

Although get this I was listnening to a radio station online http://thebuzzardrocks.com and I just thought it was them doing something over the radio.. Till I scrolled up and seen your post..

Then I started to laugh me ass off..

Anyway, You should be supporting the site rather than complain about it..

With some 5000 posts, I believe I have a right for a small complaint. And it's not like Jordan will lose a ton of money for turning off the noisy banners...

Yeah, but, Jordan is very good about keeping the more annoying ads off of GTP, so I'm sure he doesn't mind this kind of feedback.

Yes, that fly one freaked me out. I had my headphones connected to my computer, so when I started to hear this buzzing sound, I thought there was an monster fly(sounded really loud) under my desk. :lol:
 
Ads with any audio or video are supposed to be blocked and disabled... I'll investigate.

Its all good I was just voicing my oppinion. :)

BTW 5000-1 post doesnt really matter, just sais you have more free time than most..

I'm still hearing the fly and paparazzi ones :( argh, they're annoying when i'm trying to listen to some relaxing tunes, an obnoxious fly comes on through the speakers.
 
Right before I clicked Reply, I got the Shoot the Paparazzi.

These are extremely annoying. Expect a Premium membership from me over the summer too.

There also used to be one with video for a food chopper or some such thing. Though I haven't seen that one in a long time. The fly one has rotated back into the site recently though. It was gone for a while but is back now.
 
Yes, I view ads along with everyone else, and I have seen the fly and the incredibly stupid "paparrazzi" ads with the sound. These are AWFUL!!! :mad: I have contacted the ad agency but I probably won't hear back from them until Monday. I will try to have these removed as soon as possible.
 
YAY! I keep getting the stupid paparazzi one and occassionally the fly one, though not as often as the paparazzi one.
 
V-Cast returns. You know, the annoying movie playing cell phone that pops up in the center of the screen and then retreats into the banner after about 30 seconds. I dont know if it has sound as I dont browse with my speakers on. I wish I had a screenie.

p.s. I'm not trying to complain I just wanted Jordan to know it's back too.
 
Damn you paparazzo!

I just got that stupid paparazzi ad again a few minutes ago.

I got one the other day, but wasn't going to say anything about it because I thought you were working on fixing the problem.
 
Yes, I complained to them about it, never saw the ads again or received any more complaints, so I had assumed they were taken care of.
 
YES, please let me know if you come across these ads or any other new ones with video and/or sound.
 
I have been seeing these adds a lot lately. I just saw them again today. The 2 that were mentioned above. I have my volume really low anyway and ingnore them but I guess if they arent supposed to be there I will keep an eye on them and let you know Jordan.
The last one I saw was around 12:00 PM EST. If you hit the refresh button they disappear instantly. 👍
