Non-game play related improvements over GT3?

Could somebody who's played the demo answer these questions for me?

Have they fixed the specular lighting? In GT3 when you drive towards the a bright light the specular light reflecting off the track flickers as you drive over the triangles the track is built of. Personally this really annoyed me. If there was just one graphical enhancement going from GT3 to GT4 and it was stable specular I'd be a happy man.

Will I be able to change from mph to KM/h?

Can you have cars at the same time in a two player race? The track gets a little empty once you get a lead or fall behind another player.

How about more than 2 cars in rally races?

Is there still detailed info on the cars? Frankly I really liked reading information on the cars. Some of them like the PT Cruiser were horrible product placement, but most had interesting write ups. Is this info accessable from the arcade screen? Is it still in the annoying auto-scroll mode or can you bring it up in a better format like a text editor style view where you could see multiple lines and scroll as quickly as you liked.

Will the speed meters work better in GT4 when ranking the cars in arcade mode? Nearly every car had the same rating of a mostly yellow bar.

What are the inprovements of the demo from prolouge.
also how long would it take to down load on a dial up conection.
Physics are improved, graphics are somewhat better, there are only 3 playable track's and 5 cars. The demo is 1280ish megs in size, you "might" be able to find a torrent file for the download but it may have been taken offline by now. Also you might be able to purchase it, they sold out a few weeks back and are no longer made, but you could probally find one on Ebay.

It would take forever. 73 hours by my calculations assuming a 5kb/s download speed which is normal for dialup.

Did you expect 1.2gb to fit on a CD?
...I wish it did though, then I could download and play it :D

i think graphics are VASTLY improved, the objects look much more round, and now the tracks look as awsome as the cars. but the impact isn't as big as it should be.. mainly because the inredibly low resolution of the PS2. but if you sit back so that resolution isnt that much of an issue, it looks stunning, the shaders are pretty good, the texturing is top notch and the objects are very round compared to GT3. this game is just begging for more resolution.

I want to mod my ps2 to download the BMW Virtual drive demo and play it. I think it must be great, mainly at the ring. I want to play it before GT4 comes out.

Well, for the ones who can´t find it, in emule it´s quite easy findable. I could find too a version of GT4 with 3 GB, don´t know if it´s the full game, i think it´s not. But it´s strange, i talked to a friend who has a dvd burner to download it, and so we will see what is that. :D

It's definitely not the full game. GT4 is 9GB+. They mention that in a few articles, that Sony was amazed at what PD delivered because no game had ever filled a DVD9 before.

As I understand it, it also makes the game unburnable.. dual-layer DVD±R/W's apparently can't hold the contents of a full DVD9.

but a hard drive can :D

You can't copy a DVD9 to a harddisk just like that, because of its dual layer structure. There are ways, but noone knows if they'll work on this one. I guess it's just a matter of time until somebody finds a way though.

I'm just hoping the car weight is in lbs instead of kgs for U.S. verison this time. Having to multiply the weights by 2.2 to get the weight each time is really annoying.

I just hope the new-improved graphics don't cause the frame rate to take a hit. Honestly, the graphical improvements mean nothing to me. I only care about the physics, number of cars and tracks, and that the cars sound correct.
