Yeah, it's been a couple of weeks.

Here's a classic display of New York idiocy...

Here's a New York T & LC driver who simply decided to stop for no apparent reason.

This wouldn't be so weird if it were isolated, but I saw no less than seven incidents of this.

This was a fairly major wreck on the Long Island Expressway at Grand Central Parkway out in Queens. A cop showed up, followed by an ambulance, and they completely stopped traffic. The shot in the bottom right is the aftermath, when they were towing the final car.

Here's a classic - an unlighted stalled car on the Long Island Expressway. So a nice motorist stops by to help him and they decide to have a chat in the number three lane (lower left frame).

Brilliance, right here. These drivers thought it a good idea to block the intersection, surely angering the drivers from the street on the lower right. I'm not sure how the cab got to be going the wrong way in the top frames.

These idiots have blocked the intersection so badly that the bus and taxi can't get through - so when the light for the bus and taxi turns red, they're stuck in the intersection. Rather than let them go through the intersection when it becomes unblocked, the cars just keep going through, around the bus and taxi. Mad

The FDR typically moves at 45-50mph, but that evidently isn't fast enough for this biker...

And finally, one that requires no explanation. Note that there are three seperate left turns going on in this intersection at the same time.

And then all these idiots move to South Florida. Wonderful.

Playing chicken with some cars, a great pastime for the morons of today.

Yeah - then the person in the lower frame preceeded to hail the cab. For New York beginners, jumping out in front of it and stopping traffic isn't how you go about hailing a cab. 👍

I noticed a many similiar practices today down in Indianapolis when entering and leaving the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. At least four people cut us off in traffic and one nearly clipped us on the right side.

I've noticed a general trend also... Drivers in larger cities do not pay attention and need to learn.

You missed the biker going around that cab in the first picture.

Driving in NY. What's the point?

I went to NY over the summer, and was surprised to discover that there are no traffic laws whatsoever there. None. Its crazy.

Last time I was in NYC, I was down by Paragon Sports (don't remember what street it was on, but people in NYC probably know where it is) and I saw a guy lose the passenger side door of his 80's Caddilac coupe (don't know which model). It was a one way street with cars parked on both sides and he was stopping to let his girlfriend/wife out so he could find a spot to park. Anyway, as he came to a stop as far to the left as he could, cars started pulling around him on the right and his girl-friend-person didn't even look, she just threw open the door and BAM. A brand new BMW X5 came speeding by and took the door right off and sent it skidding into some parked cars. I was sitting in a car parked on the side of the street maybe three car lengths back just laughing my ass off.

Even funnier than the door getting knocked off was the cop that was walking down the sidewalk when it happened. He didn't even stop check it out. He just shook his head and kept walking.

NYC drivers are crazy.

18th & Broadway, just north of Union Square.
He was in the wrong lane!

He's in the crosswalk. Get your head checked.
