Today, instead of playing around on the test and setting (complex track) i decided i'd get my S licence since i restarted for the third time, i was making good progress, i had the lic, in about 2 hrs..... I thought i was going to have trouble with S-2, but i got it fairly quickly, i still had problems with S-8, but after i got it, it was all good...

So, i go to save my game... the game is saving and my apt complex BLEW A FUSE which put power out on my whole LEVEL! :mad: So, now all my GT3 data is corrupt :(.... oh well time to start over again ;)

Welcome to GTPlanet, Abe! It sucks out loud that your second post has to be such bad news... congratulations on having gotten S2, though.

Look at it this way, when you restart you get another chance to fix any little things that you regret from the first try. Good luck, man!

sorry to hear that dude... hurts....
but now you can start all over, and actually try to do "good" on the license tests
hehe

Thx, guys.... i got all gold last night on B lic, and 1/2 of A, i still don't own a car (except for the miata that i won ;) )
I think i might not start "racing" until i get all golds through i-b or i-a.... its gonna take alot of patience :)

getting all the licenses is the best way to start a game, i think. if you do well, you'll get way better cars than you would have otherwise, and you can enter them in competitions that will win you some realy money.
 
i started by finishing arcade mode. i think that is a good way to introduce you to all of the cars. and time trial really makes you be a good driver.

That or a battery backup that gives you about 10 minutes of electricty. Trust me, its worth the money. Our power has flickered several times over the last several months, and this alone would have crashed our computer if it hadnt been for it. That sucks to hear man, I hope you get back up to where you were soon.
 
Question: If your PS2 cuts off (whether intentional or unintentional) while saving a game, does it corrupt the whole memory card or just that particular game save?
 
I think it corrupts just the saved game that your saving.(but i could be wrong...as it has olny happened to my friend and not me)
 
yea all it corrupts is the game you are saving, so i lost my GT3 file :( oh well, a nice healthy restart never hurts ;)
Just finished all of I-B w/out buying a car yet! patience is a virtue... i'm gonna see if i can make it past I-A w/out getting the itch to go racen.

Thank god i didn't loose my franchise in Madden 2003, i'd of been really angry..
