Anyone else like me and can easily spend 2-3 hours on Nordschleife just practicing and testing tunes? My favorite track by far.

Me too, awesome track and lap by lap you getting closer to push the car to the limits

Did a couple of laps in an X1 and got 3:56 with a few small errors.. I reckon I could take at least 4-5 secs off that.

Haven't really pushed hard on there since FM3.

With that car, me and a bunch of other guys I race with can do sub 6:10 times with racing softs and all aids of except abs 1.

Yesterday I tried the Mercedes CLK DTM car modded to 625 HP in practice mode. With all aids off except abs 1 I did a 6:01.5, that was only my second full lap and a few aborted ones, I think under 6 min is possible. The Fairlady Z Concept is even a little bit faster I think.

Edit. Just remembered our time is with Stage 3 Turbo which gives around 80 more hp. Still, I think around 6:10 - 6:15 should be possible.

No turbo but I am on softs. I think if I actually messed with the setup a touch I can go faster. I have ran this car about 15 laps I can run 32's easy but perfect laps produce me 30's on the nose won't break it. If you can do 15's in the same car that is a HELLA lap. I don't consider myself slow :)

Add me on PSN we have a ring room going every night no aids no driving lines no tc. We run a 6:30 room no HP limit.

Oh yea

Here is one!👍

'I think' I made just great time on green hell, just because reading this thread earlier I thought I give a shot with Zonda...

So, 775bhp Pagani Zonda 'stock', with no extra turbochargers my time was 5.59.229.

Made huge mistake too before long straight on end, on that corner lost 2 seconds which I know because of seconds I was ahead my last best round.

So 5.57.000 will be my target sometimes.

Edit: Used no drivingaids, abs1, racing softs. Taked too replaysave of that lap.

As long as there are two wheels on the track it is deemed clean by any competition i have ever entered.

Yeah, but my point is that a 5:10 lap time with an F10 is impossible in real life. The first kerb you hit would wreck the car. I know this is just a game, but there's always been that novelty that what you do in the is at least technically possible in real life. a 5:10 lap time with an F10 is literally impossible. Also, nobody mentions what their setting for the track edge grip, real or not?

Been having a blast today. I have over 17mil credits saved up, so I've bought several of the race-moddable cars and I've been tuning them up on the Nord. These are easily some of the finest cars in the game. GT5 is so worth the purchase money, if only for this track, driving alone.

I just ran a 6:42 in my Jag XJ9-R. I'm pretty happpy as that was my first ever mistake free lap of the ring, I know it's not nearly as quick as some people but still very satisfying.

Tried it in a Samba bus but got bored after 20 minutes...

But seriously, I've only really driven stock road cars up to this point to try and compare them to real life lap times. Might start setting some power lap times with race cars because I like this thread.

EDIT 6:24 with some setup adjustments Fairlady Z LM Concept

I'll add you when i get home from work:tup:

Noticed yesterday that the turbo only gives a little over 50 hp and stock it has almost 640 hp after oil change, so sub 6:15 times should definately be possible.

6:59.04 Ferrari Enzo '02

Stock, Sport Soft Tires, No aids except abs=1. Finally I broke the 7 min barrier with a stock road car!!

Just beat my best time from earlier today by 25 seconds, lol. It took effort for sure. New best time 5:14:942 in my Formula GT.

lol those X1 times are bloody insane. Watching those videos, there is no way any human body could survive the G Forces... hahaha.

Anyway, Im not trying to hard to set any times right now, and Im not a pro... so these are my best times so far:

7:12 in the Stock GTR with Race Soft - All aids off, ABS 1

6:37 in the stock Zonda R with Race Soft - TC 2, ABS 1, everything else off

Next goal is to stick Sport tires on the GTR and go for the trophy

I'd like to see this because I'm obviously doing something wrong somewhere. My best is 6:00.904 with full power. Since achieving this time I haven't been able to get even one good clean lap, that's how hard I was trying when I made it.

Grabbed the Ford Lightning again. Installed some Medium Racing tires and a racing transmission, then hit the track. Same 500hp. 7:14.941

Video!

Edit: BMW 1-Series tii = 6:59.606 (Hard Racing Tires)

You're not trying hard enough, my Range Rover Stormer goes airborn on the first uphill section.

Just kidding, very tidy lap. You can't beat the ring, I try to do a good few laps most nights

From memory the Range Rover with 400hp and 1900kgs was doing 7.40's, still great fun though.

I've improved on my previous best time with the Subaru Super Touring Car (528bhp/1030kg/RS-RS), with no aids. It was 6.27.xxx.

It is now 6:25.625, and I was running with some crazy-high camber, and maximum toe! There is still more to come too (I haven't touched the wing settings yet)! 👍
