In a word, no. Check out the rumors and speculation forum for lots of discussions about nitrous. Personally, I'd rather see GT stay true to GT racing, which doesn't use the stuff.

Besides, it'd make your car explode or, if you hit a wall too hard, it could start leaking, cause the driver to burst into fits of uncontrollable laughter, hit another wall, and, well, explode. ;)

By the way, welcome to the forums!

Nope, I like it how it is! There are plenty of tuning options as it is, in some case too many. Adding a nitrous option would just make things go crazy, and would probably only really be useful on tracks with really long straights where you would make full use of the speed boost.

Maybe if they'd put in drag races and not allow NOS in every race I would find it a good idea.

no need for that... there's a little thing called a Turbo...

we don't need NAAAAAAWWWWWSSSS! in any of the future GT's

If you could use nitrous oxide you could come out of turns and corners harder than a mofo, but it'd ruin the game IMO.

Just give it half throttle, and when you want "NOS" just give it full throttle and pretend it's the "NOS" kickin' in...

Good one Josh!

I agree. No need for NOS in street races. Theorically, that would allow slower cars to burn NOS on the striaghts, allowing some catchup real quick. With evenly matched cars now, the catching up is done in skill level of driving such as cornering ability. That makes you earn it and feel better about it :cheeburga

I believe nos is GAY,are should i say dumb,

Damn that STUPID movie- Fast and the Furious

Its not called NOS

"NOS" is just a company that makes it,not nitrious oxide itself

:P Or not...

The Fast and the Furious was a good movie in my opinion. The thing about "NOS" is that only is it a company name, it is sorta like a standard. That is what a majority of people use to refer to Nitrous Oxide (NO2).

Doesn't NOS actually stand for "Nitrous Oxide Systems"???

yes... but people seem to use it just like we're using the "aspirin" thingie...

would you rather say acetaminophen or aspirin?

I usually call it Tylenol or Aleve. Whichever I can get my hands on first!!

Now to think about it, I usually say something along these lines....

"You got something for a headache??"

F & F was mostly made for those people who don't know cars, cause anyone that does would see some stuff in it that's totally impossible, wrong, or just stupid...

Ahahahahaha True, my cousin keeps callin it "NOS" and I tell him that and he starts goin into denial sayin no no nope it is etc..etc..

But I agree Nitrous is gay and ruins the game, as does those F1 Cars and Hybrid Cars...And if they did have the Dragracing part (note: INWHICH THOSE DAMN POLYPOHONY ICEHOLES LEFT OUT) would be gay with "NOS" also...If you turn on the TV and watch the NHHRA or whatever it is called you will see they dont use Nitrous, they got true power...900horses

And even if they did have Nitrous, it's a driving simulation so you will be able to use it once durin that race :smilewink

i think nos would be a good add on to the game it would definetly make it more challenging and i think any add on would be good. The addition of nos would be good for game play. i think they should make a drag race part of the game. :)

i wouldnt like it because in the Real GT class they dont use NOS, i would like it to be as real as possible

Well this is mateur aint it fellas  ! I mean talkin about things bein gay. If we are gonna start branding things as being "gay" then we can start with the stupid HYBRID thing  ! I would say that that is CHEATING and it is very very gay indeed. And if you use the HYBRID thing then you are very very gay.
Also -I DONT WANT FRIENDS- i think you are gay!!!

But still, that would take away some of the skill needed to win at this game. Use a NOS boost on the straight just to get ahead quickly, then lose all that when you get to the first turn. What a waste.

By the way, some drag cars do use NOS. I have seen some in person that does. It gives you that extra 100 horsepower for a short time.

Yeah, it's just like referring to Jello and Kraft Dinner, it's a brand that so completely dominates its market that people just refer to any brand of nitrous as NOS. And we shouldn't have it in GT because we'd blow out the floorboards on all our cars. :D

I did....I played Midnight Club before I saw the movie :P

Also they have advertisements in just about every car racing magazine

nitrous oxide is a bad idea. chemicals like nitrous oxide and nitromethane are purely for drag racing, like in fast and furious, you basically only use them on long straights. and it takes the fun out of actually driving the car. and besides the power it gives you on a short distance is so much, that it would be useless in many of the tracks which have lots of turns.

I just think sometimes that it is ridiculous.....

There was a rumor floating around here a short time back when 2 kids got killed; running from the police I believe. It started with a couple of people trying to drag race. The driver lived, his 2 passengers both died. Either he lost control while racing, or while police were chasing.... The details are a mystery, I guess people don't want the truth, or don't want the truth getting out. It was rumored though the car that crashed and flipped and got cut in half was a Honda with NOS installed. It was a Honda for sure, I seen pics. Now the NOS thing, I am not sure about. That is why I think it is ridiculous sometimes. Keep NOS where it belongs!! Street racing doesn't need that extra danger added to it!!
