Be sure to let us know your thoughts, ive still not pulled the trigger yet! Still fighting myself... over pay for Fanatec or stay in the Thrustmaster eco system in which i have 4 wheels already.

I got the chance to try a 6nm Fanatec at the BTCC last month, and the T598 is in a whole other league, the Fanatec just had no real feeling of the car or road compared to the T598.

I am glad I went the Thrustmaster route.

Although I did get to try a Logitec GPro at Goodwood FOS on Thursday which did feel really good.

But considering price, I would definitely suggest to go with the T598, especially if you are already in the ecosystem.

5nm version? Yeah theres no doubt the T598 is even holding up against the 8nm in alot of areas, some not in and some surpassing. The problem for me is the pedals... Really want a good set of pedals. I only have the T3PMs right now and the pedals that come with the T598 aint good so kinda forced to buy the T-Lcm which are quite a bit worse than the Fanatec v3's.

Kireth put up a very interesting video yesterday on pedals, a great set of pedals from SimNet working with the Fanatec base, now the question is do they work with Thrustmaster if so il be buying as soon as i find out.

I have no issue at all with the pedals (except I need a clutch). The pedals feel so much like me IRL car so I am more than satisfied with them.

I just can't justify buying the newer 3 pedal set just to get a clutch, but the only load cell I have tried and liked was on that Logitec at Goodwood, I didn't like the Fanatec or Simucube load cells.

That is also putting me off waiting for a load cell from Thrustmaster, because if I don't like that either, theb I will still need the 3 pedal setting to stick with the brake I already have and get my clutch.

It all just depends if you want that load cell brake, but other than that the pedals that come with it are brilliant.

So this was the view with 598 wheel.

This is with my sf1000 wheel, spent all yesterday morning changing my tv setup but didn't have time to test the wheel as I was at a more important event (Beer festival). Will get chance later this afternoon so will update.

Ok tv now higher, been on F1 25 and feedback from the wheel is definitely better than my T300. Still playing with the settings but happy with the feel of the bumps in the track which I didn't notice before and have turned traction control down as I feel more confident easing the throttle out of corners. GT7 however felt horrible so need to tweak settings for this game, you can have different saved settings that are easy to switch between but GT7 has a nasty vibration for understeer and weird oscillating when driving on high speed straights.
