Hello guys, I got a problem. I was trying to join a friends lobby, but gran turismo said everytime the lobby was full. but the lobby had still enough places, there were just 9 of 16 places occupied. I tried a few other lobbies, there I had no problem to join.

Can anyone help me with that problem?

I remember , there were some threads ( use "search") about different lobby connection problems and fix for that > router settings .

Most likely a problem with your NAT settings. Try restarting router and PS3 and kick your sister off YouTube.

PortForward.com used to have very good guides for setting up "port forwarding" inside your router, you and your friends should all take a look at that as you should always forward the ports to your primary gaming device.

Try to avoid using wireless in a predominantly BT area (UK advice only), the new HomeHub is as noisy as hell :)

I had 2 racers run into this issue the other night. I started a Friends Only room, and had about 8 in, and 2 could not join. I exited the room and started a fresh one and everyone was able to get in. Luckily, it was before any official racing started so we could do that.

I have not ran into this on GT as of yet but in Forza I have saw cases where two people could not be in the same lobby at the same time. Two of my friends wanted to race but when one would enter the other could not join. Either of them could join without issue but once either were in then the other could not connect. We tried all sorts of different things, different lobby, different host and so on but we never were able to get those two guys in the same lobby at the same time. Still no idea why since neither of them had any issues until the other showed up.

Sounds like a NAT issue. Like teneightyone said, portforward.com should have what everyone needs to get their ports open. Also, you can try different hosts and differing orders of people entering the room which sometimes will get everyone in the room.

Yes. Definitely NAT Type issues. You must be at NAT Type 3. You need to be 1 or 2. If you use a router then it's an easy fix, hoping that your service is not restricted when it come to these settings.

If your service is restricted and locked in NAT 3, then it's more complicated. Depending in your ISP, you probably will end up paying for a public IP, which is what I do. But that will leave you free to change the NAT type. It is worth it.

When did you accept each other's friend requests and did you each return to the XMB after accepting the friend request? If you try and accept a friend request while in game, you will be able to see the lobby but you will not be able to enter it (getting the room is full message) until both of you have exited the game and returned to the XMB menu.
