Then managed to get a good shot of the metallic turquoise

Know it's not much but i've never seen an XJ220 let alone 3 in a row with more inside the garage, including a white one which looked amazing.

I was going to say, in that neck of the woods i bet it's Don Law's place . If you see a Transit van parked outside with funny looking wheels - it's not a Transit...

Love the wheels :P

thats one thing i slightly dislike, the wheel trims

I went to the plant where they were being built many moons ago. Also had a chance to go in one, but only as a passenger, since I was only 12-13 at the time.

I saw that same turqoise one (or EXTREMELY similar) last Thursday on A level results day! It was in Shrewsbury.

Hmm, im guessing they service the existing ones, maybe the person who owns it lives in Shrew's..

If theres only 280 odd made as im led to believe the chance of seeing another is quite rare.

However that turquoise is disgusting, shows money doesnt =/= taste

Yeah, not keen on the turquoise one, especially those horrible wheels!

What's the story with the transit? Is it a transit body with the engine and rolling parts from a smashed XJ220?

Basically, yeah. I'd like to have seen 'em convert steelies to the XJ hubs, though...;3

Massive picture alert!!!
Any chance you could resize those so that they actually fit within the forum window?
Thanks.

Good spot though. 👍

let me get this straight: you see THREEE XJ220s and you only take TWO pictures, one of them absolutely lousy? you see THREEE XJ220s and you dont even get off your car?

I think you are absolutely bonkers, I would have fainted and have my girl or whatever wake me up, then be all over them, I wouldnt have returned home without at least a hundred pictures.

but nice spot indeed.

:(

At the time, i was in a mad rush, i couldnt really stop for much longer than a second as there were cars behind me also. the shot through the car windscreen was 'her' doing, and the turquoise was mine.

if i get the chance again, ill see if they would fire one up for me :)

Errr, this is just about the most amazing car spot I have ever seen. Incredible! As Cano said, only TWO photos?! Give yourself a slap this instant! Fantastic spot 👍 👍 👍

Beautiful car, just such a shame they never fitted the V12 that was originally planned!
Good to see that at least 3 cars are actually being driven rather than sat collecting dust in a guarage/museum.

As for the 'Transit but not a Transit', it wouldnt happen to be the one that some crazy dropped a mid mounted Merlin into by any chance?

If you're lucky, sometimes you can spot the prototype TWR XJ220S (in yellow) or the XJR-9 and XJR-12 race cars there too ;)
I managed to spot the XJ220S at Oulton Park last year - now thats a rare sighting!
