I ran 3 races early, only took two pictures. All of them at Indy. I should have got the trophy for each race but I did not. The first race ( i didnt have my phone out) I ran 3 consecutive 39.6 second laps. The others are shown

I believe it has to be the track's top time as well, and probably in a time trial. It looks like you were in a race.

Ive tried time trial as well. And what do you mean by the tracks top time? There is a go on here that said he got the trophy on day one? Evidently not the tracks fastest within one day

I believe you have to be within a tenth +/- (.1) of the fastest lap x2.
So match the time within a tenth twice. Three times total.
Once to set the lap then twice to match.

I got it either in the nascar events or running indy.
It's pretty easy when you don't let off the throttle and hit the apex consistantly.

I assume it means your fastest time, on your local leaderboard. So for example, you do daytona in time trial mode with something wicked fast and post a time. You then pick up a prius and do a time trail with 3 laps within .2, it won't count because you weren't within in the fastest lap time. Does that make sense?

If the #1 time on your leaderboard is 1:00 you need to do three laps at 1:00 +/1 0.200

I think..

This is pretty much my take on it. You need to set a lap time, then do 3 more laps +/- 0.2sec.

When I got my trophy, it popped after my 4th lap - 1 to set a time, then 3 laps matching it.

I did it in practice mode, but I'm pretty sure folks have pulled it off in a race.

i got it on the high speed ring while racing in the MR series, i had 4 laps all within .2 of each other. Think you only need 3 laps that close to each other to get it.

I must've been close with a third lap then, I noticed when the trophy popped up and I saw my laptimes and I had 2 identical laps in a row, and to be honest I don't even know the stipulation for even getting it.

What I did was build a kart track as round and wide as possible without any tight curves, get a low HP vehicle, ~50HP, and just go around the kart track over and over using the exact same path. In 10 minutes, I got the trophy. To get a nice round track you have to keep hitting "NEXT" a lot, but eventually you can get a very nice round track. The low HP vehicle prevents sliding, and changes in speed. It takes a little, but can be done with minimal effort.

I received my human stop watch on the first event of the Level 17 Karting Special event, it is 5 laps and you pretty much just hold the throttle wide open the whole time

you have to do three laps in a row after you have a best time that are within .2 seconds of that fastest time. so really you have to do 4 laps withing .2 seconds, I did it on indy with the minolta on like the wind, get a fast lap on lap 2 then the remaining three laps all have to be within .2 seconds of that time

I accidently got mine driving my Mazda Furai.I just felt good that day and was running extremely fast times. When the Achievement popped up i was like "what did i do?".

After reading this thread i now know how you go about getting it. 👍

It takes a total of four laps within two tenths of each other to get the trophy. You have to set a time and then come within .2 of it three times.

This is probably easiest on Indy in the American races in the extreme series and if you grind there much for cash/xp, you'll likely get the trophy in the normal course of racing there. It's very easy to be consistent there. My best so far is four laps all within .057 (you can see how I try to keep from getting bored while grinding this race).

I'm not sure I got it the first time I drove the Minolta on Indy but then I had 4 straight laps that were within a few hundreths of each other.

I'm pretty sure you actually need 4 laps. 1 for the best time and three other within .2s.

This.

"Complete three consecutive laps with time within 0.2 seconds of the Best Lap Time"

So if you beat the best lap time by .01s on the third lap you have to start again?

Only if your other laps are not within the 2/10ths of the new best lap time.

Still not sure if it is the best lap on the track or the best lap of the race but am leaning toward the latter. It is easy to get on Indy speedway with the Minolta and soft race tires as you can just run flatout and get 4 laps running alone in front. Most of the time all 4 of those laps are within the required 2 tenths if your line is steady.

Hit the PS button on the controller, go to "Game" and up to "Trophies".
