xbox is a joke
So I got 2 questions

1) Is Gran turismo 5 going to have F1 series?

and 2) Does the Logitech G27/G25 come with an e-break?

1. No. Not in the official sense anyway.
2. Unless you fabricate your own and hard-wire it, no.

So how come GT5 Prologue had the Ferrari F1? They're gonna remove it since GT5 won't have F1??

and thanks :)

It was most likely individually licensed, and I think Sony was in possession of the F1 license right up until Prologue was released. Now that CM has it, the best they can do is license individual chassis' but without the sponsors.

ok, so I guess I'll buy F1 2010 :)
thanks

1) No it isn't going to have the series. It may or may not have one or two (insert your own number) F1 cars, but the series will not be present.

F1 2010 is fun. If you want an F1 game I recommend it.

How different are F1 2010 simulation physics from GT5 Prologue professional setting?
I tried to play Shift and couldn't get used to it.

F12010 is somewhere between GT5P's Standard and Pro physics. With all the aids off and proper difficulty F12010 physics are believable and fun. You have to pay attention and make an effort or you will spin or do something else bad. The physics are good enough in F12010 that there is a nice zone where you are not in control but you can wrestle it back with enough skill. Feels pretty good. Direct comparisons are hard because these are F1 cars rather than road cars like in GT. GT is a bit more 'realistic' as it were, but I've never driven either an F1 car or a Ferrari road car, so take it as you will.

👍 Thanks.
I wish they make a downloadable demo, but CM said they couldn't.

I have it on PS3.
I too hesitated before purchasing it as I pre-ordered GT5 and wasn't sure if it was worthwhile to own both.
If anything, just to become more familiar with the tracks in such detail makes it worth the purchase. It's funny how well we know the tracks from other racing games, but now with so much detail (cranes, stadiums, other landmarks, etc) it really changes the way you race the course.
Anyway, I'm not a car freak. I just like to race. People complain about physics and realism, but really if you're racing someone equally equipped, isn't the "heat of the moment" enough to override any complaints of authenticity?
Have fun,
Kaffeine

I have just about every good racing game out there. I'm talking mostly PS2/3 and PC. F1 2010 is pretty close to the top of my favorites. If you like and appreciate what F1 cars are all about and want a fun racing game this is it. Is it perfect? No. Could it be improved in next years F1 2011? Yes. But in the end it's done well, it's fun and for me it's what WOW is to the fantasy game players. I can't stop playing it. :) Codemasters did a lot of things right with this game with FUN being right on top:tup:

Just wait for patch, PERIOD. It has SOO much potential, but isn't polished AT ALL. I'm sure you will be well informed once the patch is released.

F12010 and GT5 shouldn't even be spoken about in the same breath, they are two entirely different animals. If you are into Formula 1, then buy F12010. GT5 will encompass many other different genres of racing from WRC, Touring Car etc etc.

^^ The F1 in GT5p was better to drive than the F1 2010 cars imo.

you still can only race it on 2 formula 1 tracks. so to most (including me) it doesnt matter when comparing it to ALL f1 tracks.

ANYWAYS even if I wanted to buy the game, i cant. It still is not in stores around me which is INSANE. i downloaded the computer version to see if i would like it. It seems good but Im waiting for a patch to come out.

F1 10 is fine for me but I understand how it might be seen as ruined by drivers who mainly want to explore career mode. For them the F1 10 issues are very real and the game IS a travesty at the moment. GT5 I will love because it is made by a true car lover and has tons of detail that other car lovers will ..love. :)
And the quality will be high, right from the start.
With GT5 I think I can just relax and take it all in, not: damn!! when will they patch this crap!

Well for me, I'd rather drive on tracks like Tskuba, Deep Forest etc rather than Bernie money spinner tracks like Korea and Abu Dhabi (puke).

Opinions eh..

IMO we shouldn't compare GT5 with F1 2010 at all. That's a whole different type of game and driving style/technique. Once the game is available in your area and you truly like F1, then I highly recommend it. It's just plain fun. The guys that are reporting this game as a travesty, IMO are the ultra hard core sim guys who were looking for this game to be the next Geoff Crammond simulation. If you have a console and a decent wheel it's fun. :)

Just my opinion. :sly:
