Hi,

I just wanted to write my displeasure at PD and SCEA for giving out free stealth cars whenever they cock up.

I bear no resentment towards all who will be receiving their free stealth cars, in fact, if I were one of them, I would be most delighted.

However, I happen to be an early adopter of the Signature Edition and it seems now the premium paid is hardly a premium. Even for those who paid extra money for the Stealth cars from "EXCLUSIVE" online orders, or region-coded GT5 special editions where Stealth cars were also offered, its becoming a scam of sorts. How could any kind of marketing and after-sales team come up with an idea like that?

How about giving out some new cars (Aventador, 599GTO etc.) or even another Premium car that any gamer can buy themselves in the game, e.g. a GT500 or GT300 or Ferrari F1 etc...

Honestly, thumbs down for such a move 👎👎...I hope someone from PD and SCEA is taking a look at these...won't count on myself for being an early adopter for GT6 for now.

Come on man, you've had them for nearly a year now, if they gave them out after a couple of months then yeah, 11months down the line tho I see no issues especially ad the sig edition was mote than about some DLC cars
 
I agree, I use my signature keyring, wallet and USB stick on a daily basis but I didn't even like the signature cars.

The Signature Edition of the game literally has no exclusivity in-game any more.
 
I also bought the Signature edition and frankly I don't care that they're giving some of the stealths out now. Especially as a bonus after delaying the US DLC by a week. I would care if it happened shortly after release but now after almost a year, I have no problem with it.

I still find how Prestige Edition is exceptional item from reasons that are not linked to virtual content such as Stealth and Chrome cars.

Actual box, GT wallet, Apex book, SLS model, keyring, GT USB stick, special packaging. It was worth it. And I would really love that as many EU players get a chance to enjoy those benefits as US will soon be able to.

Everyone knew it was going to happen eventually. 👍

Plus, I think the sig edition was more for the material objects, those were the coolest.

^Agreed, it's been pretty much a year that you guys have had the car for exclusiveness. Now it's our turn lol.
 
As long as they don't release all of the Stealth cars for free, I won't complain to much.
But yeah, now the lobbies will be full of people racing a Stealth model.

Kinda lost its uniqueness.

Like I said, its nothing against people getting it for free cos there is really no choice but to receive.

I am just thinking that when its exclusive, it should mean so.

As a business person I would have expected much more from PD and SCEA.

This being a car game, it would not be outraegeous to think that the stealth cars should.be limited availability only. E.g. Bugatti are only going to build this much Veyrons, or Lexus that mucj LF-As, or Pagani that much Zonda Cinques. Thats the meaning of exclusive, keeping a certain range to what was committed. In the case of GT5, stealth cars Signature editions and other special editions, not free. No issue if it was a new Stealth, like Stealth Golf, stealth Pruis etc and available to all. Otherwise why bother with exclusive.

Just something I have no idea why PD and SCEA would do so.
 
They sure don't seem that exclusive now that they are handing them out like sweets(candy, lollies).

OK so what stealth cars have they released to "everyone" that you guys got in the SE? because the only "stealth car" I have seen and it is not really a stealth car is Kaz's race car from the N24 this year.
What I think sux is that you guys in Europe got ALL the stealth cars but those of us here in NA only got certain ones from specific retailers. I would love to have all the stealth cars (and Yes I bought the CE here in the US) but we were never given THAT option, so stop yer whinin' and get on with racin'

So you suggest, ir replacement, a car anyone could easily already buy? That's probably the worst idea I've heard yet.

I can certainly understand the irritation, but as has been said, it's been 11 months, so it's not quite the same as you describe.

To be perfectly honest, anything they could have offered would clearly have offended you, unless it was something everyone has, in which case it would be the gift of useless crap.

If I'm not mistaken, we didn't even have the option to purchase these cars the way you did, which means we were slighted in that aspect to begin with.
 
I dont really care,i too bought the Sig edition,ive played it almost daily for a year now,i have my moneys worth out of it.
 
In case anyone was saying that they only had the option of buying the CE that came with only one or a couple of the stealth cars, or have no option of buying the Sig. Edition because they are not in Europe or are from any part of the rest of the world, I can only say I am not from Europe either.

I am from Asia and I do have the option of getting the stealth cars, all 6 of them, from the CE edition offered in Asia. I got the Signature edition because in the world of today, with internet and all, its just not acceptable to say that there is no option. Who is stopping anyone from ordering online, having a UK shipping house address and have that ship to wherever one is, probably even in Antartica. To say that one has no option to purchase any of the stealth car GT5 editions is like saying one cannot eat Belgian chocolates because they are only sold in Belgium, or a Japan Only PS3 console.

My post, whining, ranting of whatever its labelled, is for all who have stealth cars from their purchase and were told its exclusive. Its not the money or jealousy that yah, now everyone has a stealth car. Its just a letdown coming from PD or SCEA in how they marketed this thing.
 
As if all the goodies you get with Signature/Collector's edition isn't already enough to justify the extra costs...

On the contrary, if they had offered anything to EVERYONE, it would have been better.

Plus if they had given a new Stealth to everyone, that wouldn't be useless crap, why would it be. Or a new Aventador, a new F10 M5 etc etc. or another of the 20mil CR cars..

And I do not know why you felt slighted because you do not have the option to. With the internet and connectivity of today, how can anyone still say that. The only reason to say there was no option is simply a matter of dollars and cents i.e. if one could not afford it, then there is no option. Thats all, fact of life. To be able to afford it but saying that the Sig. edition is not available to the rest of the world so one cannot get it, what sort of a closed world is one living in. But not surprisingly, there are still people who think Japanese and Chinese are the same, or that London is in Paris etc etc. This is the world, another fact of life.

I as well paid extra for 'exclusive' cars and packaging, however, PD providing these cars now to others doesn't bother me one bit. I bought it not for exclusivity, but because I wanted to drive those extra cars. I honestly don't care one bit that someone else now has the opportunity to drive those. I'm not sure why people are so concerned with what is available to other people.....

It sounds like you're saying that Sony should give everyone a "special bonus" that was created soley for people having to wait an unexplained unintentional extra week for DLC. How do you rationalize that exactly?
"We're sorry NTSC, here's something we're giving everyone else, consider it a bonus for you though."

Go buy everything you mention, and get what I just got the same way you suggest I should have done for extra stealth chromeline cars. 💡

Edit: Or do you not realize some cars were not available to the NTSC market?

Unfortunately I'm sure that it was a decision by SONY and not PD.
