I notice one thing while I was test driving this out (on casual to get a feel for it) and accidently found the horn button and well I now use it all the time and if you race the AI aggressively and beep your horn at them they honk back at you.

It scared the crap out of me but it was kinda cool.
 
People beep their horns during pretty much every online race I join in DiRT 2 (Xbox), but I've hardly noticed anyone use their horn online in DiRT 3 (PS3).

Ditto :lol:, I call it the troll horn and we all know why. I do actually use my horn however if I catch up to someone on stage, and again if they let me by as a thanks. Which has happened about 4-5 times :lol:.
 
How do you unlock these horns? I notice numerous ones that say ''locked'' but not sure when they unlock? Ps3 version if that matters.
 
Keep playing online... as you level up your fanbase, you unlock horns...

I dislike a lot of the silly ones because they are so hard to hear.... like the train or ice cream ones...
 
You get the first set of horns at Fanbase 8 if I remember correctly, but I don't know what rank you need to reach in order to unlock the rest of them.
I'm currently at Fanbase 22 and I've unlocked 2 horn sets so far (I can't remember when I unlocked the second horn set though).
 
I use the police siren myself.

You know what I noticed? Everyone uses that annoying Duke/Hazzards horn...

Omnis uses it. I was playing a game of Outbreak against him a few weeks ago, and he was the Origin. Every time he came near someone, he announced himself with the horn. Which means everyone escaped easily. Which was hilarious.
