Noticed a glitch online with PP limit

I was online in an open lobby on grand valley speedway last night with about 6 other racers.
The room was already set at 600pp when I joined.
I thought at this PP I'd use my stock RX-7 TC which was sat nicely at 599pp.
As soon as I chose the car, the host had already started the race so I had no time to go into settings etcs.
When the race started, I was actually driving a Nissan R390 GT1 Race car LOL.
I noticed that my car shot off from the start and was leaving everyone else for dust. After one lap I was more than like 14 seconds ahead or something and I knew there was something wrong.
When the race finished, at the top of the lobby it showed RX-7 TC but when I went into settings the photo was of that Nissan R390 with 692pp!! LOL
Anyone ever experienced anything like this before?? That's the first time i've ever come across it, really strange.
 
I've heard something similar before. Think he got disconnected from the room and when he joined he changed car but when he went to drive his car was much much faster than it should be.
 
Guys what I wrote is "exactly" how it happened.
I chose the RX-7 TC which is premium but when the race started I was somehow driving the R390 race car which is a standard car.
It's not like I was previously driving the R390 where the PS3 auto saved the data.
This was just totally random and obviously a glitch in the game.

That^^ was about some guy about a year ago. I wasn't trying to guess what you did/didn't do. Sorry if it came off that way :guilty: :dopey:

Well I remember a time trial at the Cape Ring for American cars, someone set a time about 10 seconds faster than everyone else in a Clio which had racing softs on, after a day or so the time had been removed and when I asked the player how they did it they said that they entered the event with a car within the restrictions but when they got to the track they had the Clio.
 
Epic Fail/WIN. But i remember one time my friend had a BMW M3 GTR '03 in my 550pp room. When he came out on track he had his Corvette ZR1 race mod, which his was green. I was thinking he was a hacker but it was a glitch when i saw the leaderboards. The whole room had an awkward silence afterward.
 
that hapend to me but not to my benefit, 500pp touge room on sports hard in a spirit r - race starts and i'm in a 534pp ac cobra? i was told by spectators that the lobby menu clearly stated i was in an rx7 but i was clearly visible in a cobra.

my only guess as to the reason is paint. my cobra was rx7 red and the rx7 was guardsman blue the cobra color.
