Hi, I've recently got the Acura NSX and noticed that the engine sound sucks big time... Do you also feel thats not how the real NSX should sound ? In GT4 the engine sound was almost identical to the real deal (especially the original NSX-R). To compare it I bought the NSX-R, same story. Nothing like the VTEC V6.

Next thing I've noticed is the sport exhaust glitch, when I install the sport exhaust to the NSX, the sound changes (to crap anyway). However when I try to remove it, the sound remain the same. After I clear the internet cache, that solves the problem and NSX sound stock, then I try again to install the sport exhaust but the engine still sounds stock :/ WTF ?

Thanks in advance for your help !

Greetz.

If you change any muffler in the same race/practice run, the second one will always sound identical as the first one. You just need to get out the race/practice and come back or change your part in your garage

The NSX engine noise is terrible in the game. Doesnt sound ANYTHING like the real thing. My dad owned one and let me drive it a number of times. Easily the best sounding engine I have ever heard. In the game its a joke.

Does the exhaust change help the NSX to sound more like the real thing or its better to leave it stock anyway ? IMO sport exhaust still sucks, what's your opinion about the other mufflers ?

I have semi-racing one on my NSX R, sounds good to me. Better than stock anyway, particularly in the lower revs, it has a rumbly bassy sound. Sound much fuller.

The full race exhaust adds some interesting sound effects to your exhaust, which I find gets boring after a while. Because the overall sound doesn't work for me.

I agree with you, the GT4 sound was awesome. And yeah annoyingly you have to exit the race/practice and re-enter for the sound to change.

The sound definitely could be better. It's missing a lot of bass in the interior views, which would be due to the missing intake sound (which would also convey the VTEC transition best in the stock car.)

For the exhausts, swap them out in your garage and do the preview - much faster than entering and exiting the practice mode. Although, you can't change the view as far as I know.

At least they managed to have it sound like a proper V6.

Take a listen to the Enzo or the 599 to see what I mean:yuck:
