All/most pop music is crap.

Liberty X are a Pop group who were the rejects of the UK pop stars program. Which is kinda ironic because they are doing better than the people who won the pop stars thing, considering they split up.

Oh yeah popstars and all those spinoffs suck arse bigtime as well.

Oh, criminy. We had some crap like this here - American Idol. One of the finalists was from the nearest big city to us, so we had to hear the Fox newsdroids yakking endlessly about whether he was going all the way or not. Of course he got rejected in the last round and they picked the chick with big yabbos.

They sure acted like everybody was exploding with anticipation, but I doubt that anybody really was. Nobody I know cared.

I also doubt that the winner will become a big hit like they promised. I think it was just a big waste of time for everyone. And they wasted fox air time. Before I start rambling, my point is American Idol sucked and it was never going to work out from the start.

Her boobs weren't that big were they? She put out one singal and that's it. It wasn't even that good. I'm surprised that it even made it on TRL (not that everything doesn't). I'm sure nobody will buy her CD and it will make negative money and she'll end up paying them. I thought that the concept of the show was extremely stupid to begin with. I mean come on! What kind of moron goes and thinks up a show where they have to audition 50 million times to get a record deal and by that time, everyone is tired of their voice. They were such sell outs too. In every camera shot, there is a coke logo, or some one is drinking a coke. Uhhm, NEWS FLASH: people don't like sell outs like that. Another thing that pissed me off was the fact that they hyped it up with promos like 4 months before it actually started. And when it did start, it sucked. Just goes to show that fox is willing to put out any crap that it can make money off of. The chick is ugly too. Not even all of the make up in the world could fix that. Who listens to her style of singing anyway. I think she lost all of her respect when she did all of those remakes of older songs. They should have made them compose, that way they'd find real talent. Errr. , my sis just flipped the channel to MTV and they are showing becoming No Doubt. The people that tried out have to have no dignity whatsoever. Now that's even worse than American Idol. But back to the subject: I remember that there was this one guy that kept saying that he was doing this (American Idol) because his parents were deaf. He was hoping that they could hear if he became a singer. What kinda bull**** is that!? He got pretty far just because of that. He should be shot for using that to win. Does he have a heart? :shakehead. I guess I'll stop now but I want everyone to know that this is only a fraction of my hatred for American Idol and there is nothing you can do to make me like it.

Liberty X are actually doing quite well for themselves. They appear to have a small amount of control over what they're doing, the lack of which is probably principally what split Hear'Say (the PopStars winners) up.

I thought duo's rant was amusing, as he clearly thinks the same way I do about these shows. However, that just means that we're not in the target market. Shocking though it may seem, we're not the only ones that the music and TV industries are aiming for! These shows are really targeting the pre- and early-teen markets, and they're clearly very popular, and they're making a lot of money for the producers and the networks, which is all that the producers and the networks care about.

It's a phase, and it will pass...

Yeah just look at that S-Club Juniors. What a bunch of young kids are doing singing adult like material is beyond me The producers of such bands are just plain greedy! and the music is all crap, hard to believe it sells

The 4 possible bands that will come out of Popstars: The Rivals (going on right now)
Las Ketchup (don't ask)

In fact, the only good stuff in the charts (except for Irv Gotti at No.3) starts at No. 14 with Feeder.

BTW, Liberty X are not great but they are a lot better mainly because band member Tony is also a Garage DJ. Also keep a look out for Rosie Ribbons. Popstars and Idol suck but at least we have found SOME gems.
