I am playing the last A-spec endurance race " Nurburgring 24h "
When it come to night race the night mare just appear
In many section is really darkness that you can't find any mark to guide you drive smoothly and crash many times
AVG lap time from 5'25 drop to 6'18~6'35

I think that must be the most difficult race in gt5
I decide to take break .../ still 12hrs to go /:crazy:

Would you share your experience...

A-spec " Nurburgring 24h " car tunning & G25 wheel setup info.

This is one of those times a driving line would help. My TV is dark to begin with so on night races like this I'll often use the magic blue line. Doesn't help you 12 hours in but...

You could use the games built in contrast/brightness features?

Only time I played the 24 hr change time course was in a single online race and without the driving line, I would have been toast. I would give a cookie to anyone who managed to race the 24 hr race with an FGT, no driving line, no HUD, AND won.

Why would anyone do the race in a car with no lights?

@OP - 12hrs left? Sunrise is near, me thinks, and laptimes will drop again.
The Ring is called "Green Hell" for a reason, didn't you know? :scared:

My friend !
Most player won't have problem in day time but in dark night " Green Hell " transform to "Dark Demon "
You will see when you comes to that......

Looks like your headlights are on dipped in that picture.... or are they just rubbish lights??

Done some 20 lap races online on Night, cant say my laptimes drop in a normal car but foolishly i have tried it in a FGT Times dropped massivly to mid 7 mins near impossible to not go off

It's actually quite cool, I guess. The 24h races are meant to be for the hardcore players, so learning the course is just part of the journey. :)

Or people with some extra time on their hands. I wish I had 4 days of extra time to play the race :grumpy:

True spoken, mate!
I tried it online several times, and it was an awesome experience. I only wanted to learn the course at night, so I took my Xanavi, my preferred car in the 4hrs on the Ring. I'm Lvl 34.6 now, so Le Mans will be my next endurance - soon :dopey::scared::crazy:

Took me 50 hours - it was physically and mentally exhausting, tho. Then again, I've had some days off anyway since my girlfriend came over and just left some days before in order to get back in time, so it was rather perfect to distract me from her leaving and the fact that I had to go to work again soon.

I guess it's possible to play a bit on Friday, a lot on Saturday and a bit on Sunday. Should do the trick - and even if you're only at around 20 hours, the other 4 hours aren't that much of a problem during Monday and Tuesday, I believe. :]

For me, I simply know the Nurbugring very well, so it doesn't really matter if it's light or dark, I just remember the layout. I take a peek at the mini-map once in a while though, just to make sure.

My way to get LV40 from LV35
Le mans 24 h * 3 times + Nurburgring 4h*1 times
Carry on mate!(*^_^*)

That screenshot looks to me like your RGB setting is probably right, but for anyone who doesn't know check your setting for “Enable RGB Full Range” in the XMB's Settings>Display Options. I had mine set incorrectly and night races were literally impossible. The article I found on it is here if anyone is unsure.

I will try it
Thank you !👍

It works
Adjust TV setting :Brightness 55 > 95 , Contrast 75> 90 ,result as below
AVG lap times get faster , from 6'18~35 to 5'40~52
After long break, still 11 hrs and 110 laps to go

Just watched a vid on YouTube "24hrs Nürburgring 2010 Onboard Race at Night" and I'd say, the right picture is much closer to reality.

don't forget you can calculate how far ahead you are and park up on the sand for a break while the clock still runs....eats into that time nicely :)

Your lap-times are awesome - hats off! My best ever was 5:18 in a Pescarolo in GT4. (Nordschleife only, no GP-course)

I memorized most of the track so when I drive it at night, my lap times will only drop by a couple of seconds. The driving line is useful but I like driving without it.

After driving on the track with a certain car for a good amount of time, you should know when to brake, turn, accelerate, and all that stuff. Once you've become "Goku-status" when it comes to driving that certain car on the Ring, it should be a piece of cake at night.

Finally over take the / Bentley Speed 8 / at 129 laps and become 1st
But still have 5h /50 laps to go and will leave that to tomorrow
The victory is get closer
:dopey:

ADDED:
Are people that worthless when driving night?

When I drove 24h Le Mans it rained from in-game 17:00 something and didn't stop until late morning and I drove the best at night but fastest time did I achieve around noon in-game at 2:58.xxx.
You learn to read the road and forest around the track when you drive in the night.

Nür online without HUD online was a blast and I'll look forward towards 24h Nür when I have time to play it.
