In reviewing post #4 of this thread, I'm sorry to say that this weeks NRS event appears to have officially concluded over a month ago...

How you ask? Look at the post and you'll notice Dave_George stated the following:

Therefore, no matter how you look at that date (June 10th 2005 for us "Americans" or October 6th 2005 for everyone else) the event is over! :-(

I'm kidding of course as I know this was a typo by Dave....but I just wanted to point this out!

I think I have, after much tinkering, found my ideal setup for this car. 👍 I am not much of a fan of older mercs, but this one has really impressed me with it's well balanced handling characteristics.
I found that the car shows loads of oversteer at medium pace, but when pushed hard, understeer is the order of the day. I managed to dial out most of the heavy oversteer and heavy understeer by changing the camber to 2.8/1.8, leaving me with a very neutrally balanced machine. 👍

Any who, my new splits:

T2: 1'28.015
T4: 2'57.097
T7: 5'08.563
T10: 7'07.118

I reckon I have almost got to my limit, but I am sure a T10 of 7'05.xxx is within reach. 👍

Only managed one other clean lap out of 20 runs, and it was slower :(

Not a threat to anyone. Used TCS/ASMs=0. Probably coulda done MUCH better with a little ASM.

Car is a real treat compared to the wrs Aston... no real issues, unless you get eager in a slow corner and 2nd gear bites your head off.
Sucks though, my worst 'ring nightmare came true.
I have a lap with a T10 of 7'06.938 but for some reason i decided when taking the last corner that the pit-barrier really needed some black paint to spiffy it up. :/

eh well... such is life.
 
Mr Watson!!, Why are you so fast in WRS yet dont seem to be on the ball this week? I'm a few seconds ahead in NRS, yet in WRS (while it was my 1st clean lap, it was still 1 hours worth) im a few seconds behind!

Ive done 230km this week for NRS and of all of that this is my only clean lap to show of it. I had a dirty lap that was .3 faster though.

Anyway im submitting this. Who knows how gay my settings are, i just put them to similar to last week.

hehe, yeah... call it 3x the effort and time dedicated to the wrs event.
i havn't won a div2 race yet, figured this was my best opportunity and am presently jumping on it. ;)
The mechanics of the aston (as has been pointed out by others) quite similar to the M34 SLR. and lord knows I have gobs of practice with that.
main problem with the merc is just lack of concentration... just couldn't stay focused when I was running last night.
Was strange, had gobs of resets in the first 4 sectors due to massive inconsistancy in my times and lots off errors... but any time I made it to bergwerk I was "home free"
If i could have put together a good begining without sluffing it up it would have been nice.
Fastest T2 i saw was 1'27.6?? and T4's in the 2'57.2?? range.
then something completely moronic would happen, like trading paint with the pit-wall... or spinning out in the uphill right approaching bergwerk. (got too many close looks at that gardrail :/ ) Got under the magic-minute though... so thats at least a minor victory.

cheers on the good time though... looks like you'll nick me again this week.
maybe i'll be able to hold you off in the british bull-dog though. 👍
 
Finally i found time to run this nrs week. Did a reasonable lap, could be some better, like 1 second, but im happy with it, it was a good lap even being an average time.

Just ran less than 2 hours on this, im really busy with college works, so im posting this time and i hope that it be a good for a good place at the final grid. ;)

i have been for 4 times a T10 of 6'59´s but in these all 4 times i´ve been 3 wheels of by millimeters in the ending part. =/

262 miles on the odometer and I didn't manage even one clean lap! I tried some posted settings and even tweaked them a bit more to my liking, but I just didn't like this car.

Understeer going into the turns. Oversteer coming out. The worst.

The car was great for drifting, which I had some fun with, but it sucks in terms of racing. The 190E is especially a nightmare when compared with the awesomeness of the MX-5 and MR2.

interesting fact geeTeye... out of curiosity i checked the WRS qualifier times... heh, you beat me by 0.1
