Some great movement on the board, Vtracing is storming up after just 2 weeks, and there is some equally impressive movement from some of the "long termers"!!
Let me know of any problems with the board asap 👍

Well done to all, lets get back to the real deal now with the CSL, what a car for week 7!

cheers all

Dave

MAN! I completely forgot about the picture competition! DOH!

Congrats to everyone who hauled this battleship around the ring .. you all did good 👍

Wow, congratulations to everyone who stuck with it this week. 👍

Well done to Dave and VEXD for filling out the podium, I really had to push to get in front of Dave. :)

I thought piloting this beast around the ring gave a better feeling of being in a rally car than the actual rallying in GT4.

I'll try and post my replay up today.

Yes congrats to all that trucked on and submitted a time, well done to the Usual Suspects at the top of the results list, job done, made me feel totally inept as is the norm :dunce:, fear not though I will puttin in this week and going as hard as i can as i think we will have a few extras here this week, the M3 on the Ring will be an attraction I'm sure, good luck all 👍

Steve

cool, im third!

Sorry Koly!

I nicked your spot.

I will get a replay up if i remember to bring the maxdrive, thats if i can find it, its covered in dust somewhere!!

Well done to all, and Dave, thats an impressive time there, VT, thats just pure dedication man.

Im sure some more laps would have helped me out here, but time was against me, as it always is.

I have, however run a couple of laps in the M3 already, and it appears to be fantastic round here, so im goin to run this week if it all falls into place how i want it.

Well done to everyone who tried to get this beast with no weight in the back round the ring, it was a real slider at times, and the fact that your eyes were level with 747's didnt help.

right, next!

:irked:👍

Congrats to all participants and a big kudos for the top finishers. As I said, didn't have much fun with this monster, so I didn't put in the time that I normally do... Hope for a return to the top 5-region this week.

Also congratulations to speedy_samurai for the great pic, and his win in the picture competition 👍

The side competition (with the pictures) is a good idea, but I can't help it feeling sorry for those who aren't able to transfer pictures to their pc. For them it's simply impossible to get those extra 5 points...

Thats a good point Bart, it was just a one off for the truck as it was a little " different ".....i mean how many other competitions would entertain a 537HP 2 ton monster at the Ring!! 👍

Here is my replay for viewing :)

cheers all

Well here's my replay.

For those of you who are interested (VEXD?), have a look and see just how easily you might have beaten me here.

I nearly went off the road on the corner before the second karrusell (sp?) because I was trying to be cool and drift through there  , but it's clean.

EDIT: Just checked out DG's lap which was very interesting. Our styles are very different: I was driving the Ram like a rally car, trying to get the nose pointed towards the exit as soon as I could while staying on the throttle; Dave was driving more like a race car, but often having a few stabs on the throttle or brake as he's going through the corners.

My style had some advantages as I would often be on the throttle a bit earlier, but I would also sometimes lose too much speed through sliding.

Anyway, it was a nice lap Dave. One other thing: did you install NOS just to show that it was GT Mode? Is that something everyone should be doing?

My replay, PAL format:

Hi vt, thanks for your comments on the lap, for everyones information the NOS on my car was the first time i had fitted it to my test rig....I was extremely close to offering it as a tuning option but decided it may cause more problems and the available power was ample. I usually then go and buy a brand new car for race week but in this case didnt and just carried on with my test car for the week.

You maybe could have also mentioned that the NOS was not used once in the lap... 👍 And no need for people to do that to show its GT mode as there is only a handfull who supply replays anyway, although thats getting better!

regards

Dave

Ill get one up, and take VT's replay down in the next couple of days.

Go Dave, defending yourself in your own series!!!

Im sure VT wasnt implying anything untoward.

NOS wouldve helped in making a decision as to whether to change to 6th or not going down the back straight, but IMO is not in the spirit of truck racing round the nurburgring.

Thats more about taping the headlights down, making sure the back is empty and getting a german girl to drive.....

:irked:👍

I knew nothing untoward was suggested, i just wanted to clarify that its ok to have other parts fitted to your motor, as long as the working spec for the submitted lap is as stated at the start of the week........ :)
